If you're looking for a fresh, tasty bagel to start your journey, do yourself a favor and avoid this abomination of a bagel shop at all costs. My experience here was nothing short of a traveler's nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others about the horrors that await them at this establishment.

First and foremost, the service is painfully slow. It's as if the staff are moving through molasses, completely oblivious to the fact that they are in an airport where time is of the essence. I arrived with what I thought was ample time before my flight, but ended up standing in line for what felt like an eternity. By the time I finally reached the counter, I was greeted with the most apathetic, rude employees I've ever encountered. Not a smile, not a greeting, just a blank stare that screamed, "I don't care."

As for the bagels themselves, calling them terrible would be an understatement. These sad excuses for bagels are stale, flavorless, and utterly disappointing. The texture is akin to chewing on a piece of cardboard, and the toppings are sparse and poorly distributed. I ordered a simple everything bagel with cream cheese, and what I received was an abomination: a dry, crumbly mess with a pitiful smear of cream cheese that looked like it was applied with a paintbrush. It was inedible, and I ended up tossing it in the trash—a complete waste of money.

To add insult to injury, the prices are exorbitant for what you get. I understand that airport food is typically more expensive, but this is daylight robbery. Charging premium prices for subpar food and atrocious service is unacceptable.

In summary, this bagel shop is a disgrace. The slow, rude service combined with the horrendous bagels and ridiculous prices make for an experience that is best avoided. Save yourself the frustration and find somewhere else to grab a bite before your flight. You'll...

I have never written a review for anything in my life but had to for this place. Stay Away!!!!

I would give this place less than a star if I could.

It was 7:45 am and after waiting 30 minutes for a plain bagel , I headed over to the pick up counter to check on the delay and found 7 other customers who had been waiting even longer for their paid orders and on the brink of missing their flights. Needless to say people were angry and frustrated.

One of the poppy’s bagel workers finally came out with 2 bagel orders and asked a crowd of 7 customers who ordered a bagel? No names of who ordered the bagels or an order # for that matter. Don’t think it occurred to her that given she worked at a bagel restaurant, everyone ordered a bagel or two or three and a little more information was needed from her side.

I would never want anyone to lose their job but the person actually preparing the bagels, should be fired!!! Not only was she shouting at the customers who had already paid for their order and about to lose their flights, she proceeded to tell her coworkers just give all of the customers a refund so they can all get out of her face. Wow !!!

Not sure who owns or runs Poppy’s bagels but you are losing money big time as when some of the customers did request a refund, they were asked if they wanted to take with them any of the bagels that were not yet claimed give the delays.

Again you are losing quite a bit...

I am a GM at a restaurant in Vancouver Washington, I can't believe that the manager of the establishment has not addressed all of the issues. First off we order one back egg and cheese bagel and one plan bagel with a side of strawberry cream cheese. They most of read the order wrong because we got the bacon egg and cheese bagel and it had strawberry cream cheese on it and they did not put the plan bagel on purpose order second we ordered 2 sodas and the mechanics did not have ice and most of the flavors of soda were out. My wife went back to let them know that they forgot her part of the order and the lady ask why she was upset. When we asked the cashier about the soda mechanic he could not understand English and keep pointing to the bar. We spent $25 for 2 sodas a breakfast sandwich bagel and a plan bagel. Not that they ever look at these reviews but if I was the manager I would be be setting the standard for my team members to take care of the guest that pay these...

Owned and operated by a New York City native who moved to the Bay Area and quickly became homesick for a great bagel. It started incredibly slowly with boiling each hand-rolled bagel one at a time in her tiny SF apartment. With the assistance of friends and coworkers, the rest is history for the owner, Reesa Kashuk, a former home cook with no professional bread experience. Located inside Terminal C of Newark Liberty Airport, I decided to try Poppy Bagels for breakfast this morning. It was made to order via the kiosks which I ordered the Turkey, Avocado, Egg Wheat Bagel.  Luckily a staff member was close by on how to take out the cheese. The warm bagel was a smaller, classic navel shape and tasted bland. The portion was surprisingly huge. It’s fairly priced for an airport. The service was slow considering there were 2 staff. If one is in a hurry to catch a flight, this is not the place.

I stopped by the shop closest to gate C128. There was only one person ahead of me and it took almost 20 minutes to get my one sandwich. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't stop here. The cook was friendly, he just worked very slow. It didn't help that other customers were changing small parts about their order after they had already placed it. He forgot to add cream cheese but it wasn't a big deal I just took a small side to go. The bagel itself was mid.... the sausage patty size was pathetic considering what I paid for it. I did like they use real eggs cooked on the grill. If you like your bagels toasted you'll have to ask them to put it through their machine twice as one go didn't toast it at all, just slightly warmed it up.

Bagel was ok , 3 ⭐ but that's really not worth writing much about.... It's the slooowwww service that is the "highlight" of this establishment. Thankfully I was leaving the airport and was not in a hurry, but waited probably 20 minutes for a single bagel. There were at least another 3-4 customers ahead of me in similar wait. There are two staff out front, and at least two in the back (doing what I can't tell), but dear lord only a total of 4-5 customers waiting at any one time, how can it possibly take 20 minutes to make a bagel 🤣 The airport should just terminate the contract of this place. Is "terribly slow service" a clause for breach of contract? 🤣
