Mi Apa Latin Café in Newberry, FL is a top-notch spot for fast-casual dining or convenient takeout. The Cuban food is consistently flavorful, with a menu that offers a great variety of traditional favorites. From savory empanadas and Cuban sandwiches to tender roast pork with rice and black beans, everything is well-seasoned and satisfying. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you get.
One of the highlights of Mi Apa is the Cuban coffee—rich, strong, and expertly brewed. Whether it’s a cafe con leche to jumpstart your morning or a cortadito in the afternoon, their coffee never disappoints.
The staff are always friendly and efficient, which adds to the welcoming, laid-back atmosphere. Even during busy hours, service remains prompt and professional. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

Read moreThis is an update to an earlier review. I wish I could have written this sooner, but life happened. After a not so pleasing experience, and writing a review sitting in the parking lot.
Not 10 minutes after I posted that review, I got a number I didn’t know calling my phone… When I answered it was Aaron Gomez General manager. I was shocked, we spoke candidly and frank together. He apologized but it was more than that. He was sincere and confident he could earn our business again. He gave me a gift card to use, and we went in to get some coffee the other morning he bought it. He also has arranged to drop off some pastries at our small business for us the staff and the students. I’m so glad that there are still people out there with this level of customer service. No the customer isn’t always right but when right isn’t right, you make it so that it is. He has gone above and beyond!!! Key west cuban sub sweet bread and add extra pickles!! YUMMY
I’ve never had a bad experience food wise before.
Thank you for treating me like family and not just a customer or a number!!!!
Looking forward to catering collabs in...
Read moreThe food is good here, but the portions are small. The last 3 times I have eaten here, I'm still hungry after I finish everything, and I don"t need a lot of food - I'm a small petite woman. I was the only customer at the register. Finally a guy came from making food in the back, saw me waiting there, put two and two together, realized it was my sandwich sitting there, and rang me up while apologizing for the unnecessary wait. I finished the sandwich in my car and ordered pizza from Dominoes to fill me up. Until they do something about their portion sizes matching better with the prices, I...
