O Sole Mio Cucina Italiana in Newberry is a true gem that brings authentic Italian flavors to life in every dish. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the cauliflower crust pizzaâan absolute must-try! The Aloha pizza, with its perfect balance of sweet and savory, was a delightful surprise that exceeded all my expectations.
The seafood oasis is a culinary masterpiece, showcasing fresh, vibrant flavors that transport you straight to the coast of Italy. Each bite was packed with the taste of the seaâperfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I couldn't resist trying the penne burins, which was rich, creamy, and simply divine. It was a comforting dish that perfectly embodied the rich tradition of Italian cuisine.
To complement our meal, the homemade garlic breadâcrusty, buttery, and fragrant with garlicâit was irresistible!
And let's not forget about dessert; they were truly amazing! Each sweet treat was crafted with precision and bursting with flavor, providing the perfect end to a fantastic meal.
Overall, O Sole Mio Cucina Italiana is a must-visit for anyone craving top-notch Italian food. From the incredible dishes to the inviting atmosphere, itâs an experience worth savoring. I can't wait to return and indulge in more of their...
Read moreUodate #2: we went again and again this place is amazing, get the BEAST pizza itâs not on the menu but itâs amazing!!!! The veal piccata was amazing! Tender and lemony! Ask for Keith he is a great server!! Update: We went again and once again, everything was amazing. Took my mom this time. She had the eggplant lasagna and was in awe of how good it was, the fettuccini Alfredo was rich and flavorful. Of course I went with my standby penne alla vodka, canât find one as good as this one. Also had the Gorgonzola chicken, creamy garlicky goodnessâŠ..đ€©đ€© Added a couple new pictures too, a must try!! Original review belowâââ- This place is so good, we went for a birthday celebration, we ordered the bruchette to start, was ok but was missing flavor, needed more garlic. Thatâs the only reason I didnât give them 5 stars. The rest of the food was amazing. For dinner we had the mahi mahi special with a Gorgonzola sauce, absolutely amazing!! The penne alla vodka was the best penne alla vodka I have ever had, great flavor and creamy!! The calzone is staple of must haves!!! And finally we also had the sicilian pizza deep dish, the flavor was great just needed some more sauce. If you never tried this place itâs...
Read moreOne star is for staff, which is super nice. Idk, Iâm feeling cute, so the other star is for soup I had, which was really good.
The menu is huge. Thereâs no way the kitchen would realistically have enough time and quality ingredients sitting around to make everything on that menu.
The skillet the food came in was hotter than the food inside it. The food itself was uneven in temperature (the biggest âI used to be frozenâ sign). The ricotta in stuffed shells I ordered was grainy. The red sauce was unusually watery and outnumbered the shells in quantity. Since Iâm not familiar with Italian food, but have made a similar recipe at home before, I knew what it was supposed to taste like (which is why I ordered it). What I got was not what it was supposed to taste like.
Also, Iâd always rather a place with a small menu and quality food than a large menu with a buttload of okay food. I wouldnât have even posted this if that particular meal wasnât $11+ for what I got. Also, please, dear god, if it takes 1+ hour to get the food out, then donât add extra torture by playing loud opera music (saying this as a musician that played in symphonic bands and sang in an operatic...
