We really wanted to love this place, as it's a small local family owned business. After our first visit, we felt like the food was okay. We just tried it again. Here are our thoughts:
We ordered online using their website. We ordered the fajita nachos "Texas style", which are supposed to have all 3 meats. Unfortunately, their site still makes you choose a meat option in the next section. I assumed they would see that I clicked on the "Texas" upgrade option, which is $1 extra. Unfortunately, they didn't. We were disappointed to see that it only had one of the meat options. So, we paid an extra dollar for nothing.
We also ordered several tacos. The tacos are decent but I did have to add salsa and some sauces from my fridge to make them better, as they could use a little more flavor.
We decided to add a side of pico ($.99) and a side of guacamole ($1.99). Not sure why a spoonful of guac costs $2 and a spoonful of pico is $1. Definitely not worth ordering, but that's on me for not paying attention to their description of 1.5 oz of each.
Unfortunately, don't know if we'll come back even though it is really...
Read moreLooking for authentic food?? THIS IS THE SPOT GUYS!!! It's inside of the gas station so don't be confused on the location but Obed (the owner) has some absolutely amazing recommendations as well as the food flavor is all there. We got a tort de asada, and order of beef quesabirrias and individual tacos. By far my favorite is the quesabirrias! They're not super greasy, there's so much flavor in the consomé (broth on the side) that's given with it. Let me tell you that the salsa selection is amazing!! The torta de asada was just as flavorful and the fries paired with is were just as delicious. Service was also really good and everything came out quickly. They do have a small seating area it's more like a take out place but you do have a dine in option. You have to...
Read moreThe service here was great — the staff was friendly and attentive, which really made the experience better. The atmosphere was okay, nothing special, but it was comfortable enough.
The food was decent overall, but I had an issue with the vegetables, specifically the onions and bell peppers. They were cut pretty sloppily and didn’t seem to be cooked well; they were almost raw, which threw off the dish. Everything else was fine, but nothing really stood out. With a little more attention to food prep, especially the vegetables, it could be a much...
