No.1 China Buffet — Restaurant in Newnan

Worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant walked in. There was a small lady working the register, as well as clean up and seating plus bringing the food from the back to the front. Waited around to be seated for about five minutes was told we could go fix our food after we were eventually seated, took a good, five minutes into eating before our drink order was even taken me and my seven year old had already eaten both of our plates. When my drink became empty, I said it on the edge of the table so she could see it when she walked by however, she continue to walk past us without refilling my drink after being irritated I just decided to get it to go drink when I got to the register All for her to tell me she was gonna charge me $.50 for a to go cup when I told her that my drink has been empty since I got here and she was too busy to refill my drink, which I understand because of everything she was doing and her being one person she was still very rude and refuse to even override that $.50 it’s not a matter of the $.50 really would’ve been an issue to me, but considering the fact that I had not gotten a refill, and I was very understanding with her really made me upset even after I had to explain myself to her on how I have been without a drink and I didn’t see why she was charging me. She was very rude and told me that was the price. She swiped my card without asking how old my daughter was when I looked at it to sign it. I told her that I didn’t understand why she charge me for two adults. She proceeded to tell me she didn’t know how old my child was so I asked her why she couldn’t asked me before she charge my card. She had to void it and start all over because her main concern was charging me $.50 for to go drink will never come back to this place. The food itself was not good not fresh...

I don't like Chinese food. At all. (Worked next door to a bad one when I was going through morning sickness 27 years ago and that did it for me!). But, I love my Daddy & he loves this place, so I caved on his birthday this year and went with him. It wasn't bad. Like, at all. All the chicken she has on her buffet are like teriyaki bbq flavors. I like BBQ! So that time I filled up on chicken. Went again with him this past weekend and realized I had missed, literally, two of the buffets of food! I guess I was nervous about eating Chinese for the first time in my life, who knows, because they were right next to the one I had picked off of the first time. And she carries a selection of Americanized Chinese and just plain 'continental' type foods... like parlor type ice creams, salad bar items, etc. Of course, I discovered the best kept secret (I've since learned) of most Chinese buffets - the mocha mousse 'cake' or whatever it was... WOW!! For the price, you will get your money's worth of really decent food.

I will say, do not go to this buffet if you're expecting sit-down-dining type of waitstaff. She was all by herself the first time, working the front door/register, bussing and cleaning tables, refilling the buffet, serving beverages and refills. Killing herself, basically. This last time she had a few young adults working with her (her kids, perhaps) and I don't think the young man wanted to be there, at all. You don't have to understand a foreign language to understand tone of voice. She wasn't quite as overwhelmed with the extra hands, but she never stopped moving while we were there, either. ((Just don't go in expecting hands-on service and give a bad review for your every whim being met, but still enjoy and eat all the food you can without getting sick. That's all...

I have been going to this restaurant for well over three years. My family included. I am a woman who is disabled and when I tell you, this restaurant is handicap accessible as well as the staff and the owner she goes above and beyond to make sure that people are taken care of.

To see some of the bad ratings is honestly very heartbreaking to me because this woman goes around takes care of every single customer with a smile, moves quickly and efficiently. Make sure all the food is ready and it comes out fresh by her husband if not the other staff.

They are constantly always moving making sure the restaurant is going smoothly checks on everyone that is there and I as a regular I am proud to say that I love this restaurant and will continue to support this small business. Most people nowadays are so used to fast franchises that they don’t realize a small business takes time and a lot of small businesses are run by families!!

I love this restaurant. I have been eating here ever since my undergrad in college even when there’s been times where I was short on funds, she and her family still helped me eat.! I will continue to be a customer here time and time again. Please give this restaurant a try. Their food is delicious and original recipes!
