Snipe Island Crafthouse — Restaurant in Newport Beach

What could better on Balboa Island, than having a great grilled fish taco & Nitro Kicking Stout from San Diego's Knotty Brewing. One of the great local businesses on Balboa Island is Snipe Island Crafthouse. Delicious street tacos for $3 on tuesday & happy hour draft beer from 2:30 PM to 5:30. It's not always easy to find stout on tap on tap in OC, but they often have one stout on draft. They also serve grilled fish, Al Pastor & Carnitas tacos. Pretty good pizza. Burger missed the mark on being medium—it was medium rare and maybe a bit less in some spots. Delivery of the drinks was really quick, which was nice. Servers were nice. The seated restaurant area had a good vibe. A big negative was how dirty the bathroom seemed in proportion to the restaurant and the neighborhood. Moldy faucet and faucet levers. No TP. Dirty floors. Sink and backsplash appeared to not have been cleaned for several days. More of a dive bar bathroom than anything. Horrible service on Sunday. I’ve tried to call the restaurant multiple times but no one answers and you can’t leave a voicemail. We were served by a woman with dark short curly hair. She was more concerned about talking to people passing by on the street through the window than actually doing her job. I did not leave her a tip so she fraudulently gave herself a 18% tip and signed my name. Also, the cheese sticks were disgusting and still frozen in the middle. I would never recommend this...
