Village Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Newtown

I've only stopped here a couple times--that's why I don't feel justified in giving more than 4 stars. Both times I ordered drip coffee, which I drink black. They also serve espresso based drinks. The first time I wasn't that happy with my coffee, the second time I was very happy. The second time I ordered the Dark House blend. It is excellent coffee--just one guy's opinion. I don't know what I had the first time so who knows why I didn't like it. The shop is very clean and nicely furnished. They have pastries, which I haven't tried. It's a great location if you live in Newtown. I really hope it does well. The people working there...

i didn’t eat here or even go in. me and my friend simply parked in front of the coffee shop for a quick moment to get directions to a place we was already going. when a older lady with blonde hair who was sitting at the tables outside the shop, started repeatedly saying “no!”? at first we didn’t think she was talking to us until she got up and yelled at us that they were closed, proceeded to slam the door and lock it. all while we are still in our car. which sucks because i’ve had friends tell me how great the food and coffee is but to get yelled at when i wasn’t even going...

some really good coffee and customer service. I am never one to write bad reviews but it seemed worth mentioning. i ordered a coffee and bagel w cream cheese to go, but when i got home to eat my bagel the small container with the cream cheese had a spot of mold on the side of it and i couldn’t bring myself to scrape it off and use the rest of the cream cheese that didn’t have mold. it was a pretty decent size too, about the size of the tip of my finger. i just don’t know how that goes unnoticed when packing it up, just needs better quality control. but regardless, a good...
