The Cornerstone of Clearwater — Restaurant in Ninnescah Township

A lovely diner with outdoor seating beneath a pergola and outdoor space with games for family and kids. The menu is fairly typical for a hometown diner, but the quantity and quality of the food is like a Texas Roadhouse or maybe Logan's Steakhouse (I've never had a steak at CStone so can't speak to it).

They have some really nice salads, so maybe Applebee's or Chili's would be a useful comparison, but I don't think those chain restaurants can match the quality and consistency I've experienced at Cornerstone.

They've done a nice job renovating the old Walt's, so if you remember that grease-pit you'll be shocked at the transformation. My only criticism is that they've moved the entrance to the west side of the building, which is completely counterintuitive to the location of the parking.

I would suggest rather than directing folks around the building, they actually allow them to enter through the outdoor seating area. You could place a lectern right outside the door, before entering the building, and allow customers to organically discover the outdoor seating.

More customers might take advantage of outside seating if they already knew the levels of sun exposure, temperature, etc. Unfortunately, most customers aren't going to make a trip out back just for this purpose, so having foot traffic directed through the space would answer these questions without customers worrying that they're being "high...

I really hate to write a review that it’s not overall good. I believe this restaurant is new so there’s definitely some room for improvement, which will encourage us to go back. That being said we sat at a table for probably 10 minutes before anyone ever finally came to greet us or take our drink order. They were a little busy but nothing that a normal restaurant on a Friday night shouldn’t be able to handle. The staff doesn’t look like they are assigned certain tables so they all just kind of float around, I think that is one of the issues with lack of service, they all assume someone else is doing it. The food , we had burgers and they were just OK. Nothing to write home about but...

Cornerstone Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The faith-based decor and uplifting vibes made it feel extra special.

The food was amazing—everything was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. We especially enjoyed the homemade dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. The environment is family-friendly, making it a great place for all ages to enjoy.
