I love opportunities such as this one... A chance to open the eyes of company/franchise owners and inform them of things no ordinary customer would see. First, this store has two MAJOR issues... A GM that is never a true GM (gives herself weekends off and is fraternizing with a subordinate, who doesn't show up for shifts and still has a job)... AND... The kitchen subordinate who doesn't show up for work OFTEN yet still has a job.
As a former employee of a Casey's, I know what standard of practice Is required and I know that that standard is top quality in OTHER stores (especially in a no fault state such as MO where you don't need a reason to fire a person), I am surprised the company still has either of them working here.
This store's hours are 5am-10pm, yet for several weeks, on Saturday and Sunday, nobody arrives until after 6am... I'm told, that this is because, the opening cook doesn't come in on weekends that he is scheduled... On these days... When the GM should cover and make sure the store is open, doughnuts made, and profits earned, she can't be reached... I arrived yesterday to see a poor new hire standing outside the building for over an hour, saying he was told to be there at five for training and nobody showed to train him... Today, I saw the same guy, standing outside, waiting. I pulled in again and asked him if he was going to wait again... I understand he has good work ethics, too bad the business doesn't.
Hopefully, my review, will see some changes happen. Listen to your customers/profit losses. Fire both people and...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience with a staff member. My step daughter and I walked in together. She went to the bathroom and I went to purchase an above the age of 21 beverage. My step daughter met me back at the counter as I was walking up to pay. The staff, very rudely goes “I need you ID now. Does she even have an ID?” And points to my step daughter. I said “yes, it’s right there in the back of her phone. “ staff goes “ I need to hard copy”. I said “yes, she is getting out her ID”. Staff member AGAIN goes “no, I need her hard copy”. I repeat AGAIN “yes, she is getting it now”. I am trying to show the staff member MY ID. Staff member REFUSES my ID and DEMANDS the ID of my step daughter immediately. Staff member goes “you both are way to young to even be in there. I refuse to sell”. I say “if you would look at my ID, you would that I am way above age”. Staff member AGAIN ignores my comment and ID and DEMANDS the ID of my step daughter. Staff stated “I refuse to sell this item to you because you both just look way to young to even be in here.” I told the staff member that she refused to even look at my ID. Staff member again refusing our service because “you both look way to young”. The WORST experience ever and I will NEVER be back. Good luck with that...
Read moreIf I could give less stars I would I l9ve j7st down the road from this store and stopped in this morning as I do every morning to see a girl soaking wet who apparently walked in for a job interview scheduled at 9. They told her the manager had a corporate meeting come up out of nowhere and she cancelled after this lady walked there in the rain. Reading these other reviews and comments I would say you need to pick your managers better this should be unacceptable to you it's called human decency. I will no longer be going to this store and will definitely spread the word to go to signal instead I have always shopped at caseys and little stuff happens here and there I get, but when stuff like that happens then all the other stuff I read when I came to post my review and you still have the same manager, you clearly don't care about your brand or community instead you keep people like that employed. This is really sad caseys use to be a good respected name. I hope you guys eventually open your eyes and do what needs done to better your business and community instead of to bend and destroy your community to keep employees who treat people that way and don't care about anyone...
