We've eaten here once before and found that the menu was a little pricey for what we received. Tonight we were exploring takeout options and decided we would give Hana grill a try again over the other option in Nixa (Hinode).
I placed my order with a young female who didn't give her name. After letting her know I was going to place an order for pickup I could hear her sigh and say okay it'll be a couple of minutes. The person put the phone down and picked it up a minute or so later and asked what we wanted to order. After giving her our order she said "It's going to be a bit of a wait" and I asked how long it would be and she said "30-35 minutes" which is fine. I then asked her what the total would be and she sighed one more time saying "it'll be a minute because I have to put in everything one at a time" at this point I was a little taken aback by her lack of customer service. After she told me the price I said "okay, and you sai-" and thats as far as i got before she said "thanks, by". I just wanted to confirm the wait. I guess she must've been stressed out but geez. I looked at my partner and asked her if she really wanted to spend her money at a place that treats people that poorly over the phone and we both decided to just cancel our order and go somewhere else.
To be honest I wasn't even going to call them back to cancel our sushi order because the girl didn't even take down my name, but I did regardless. After having the same person answer I said "hello, I just placed a pickup order and would like to have that cancelled" the female was rude one last time and said "okay awesome, bye" and hung up.
Their sushi might be alright but the customer service gets 1...

When we walked in there was a sign that said ‘seat yourself.’ Every table besides 2 or 3 tables for larger parties were completely full of plates and cups from other customers. We had to ask to have a table cleared. We sat down around 7 and ordered around 7:15. The sushi took around 45 minutes to an hour to come out and they came out one by one with about 10 minutes in between each. My fiancé and I ordered hibachi and by the time everyone else’s sushi was eaten we still didn’t have our food. Not to mention, about 10-15 to-go orders went out before we got all of our food. We had to ask the waitress when our food was coming and she said they just put the noodles in and it would be about 5-10 minutes. So we were there for almost an hour and a half and they haven’t put noodles in? One plate came out and because we didn’t want our friends to wait for us to eat, we boxed up mine and my fiancé canceled his order. We had two servers, one was either in the kitchen audibly arguing with the kitchen staff or at our table complaining about said kitchen staff while the other server stood next to our table awkwardly repeating “I’m a mess.” One of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I’ve ever had. One of the entrees was comped and the bill for two people still came out over $40. These 4 and 5 star reviews must be manufactured. Nothing at this restaurant was at an acceptable standard.
