Disappointed and frustrated, food was ok, nothing really that made it better then any other Mexican restaurant, I ordered the steak fajitas, but I had to ask for more tomato since the 1/4 Worth of diced tom was just enough to make one fajita and I had to ask again for more since the first request was just enough for 2 fajitas then the third time I asked i never received, also had to ask for more sour cream because it also lacked sufficient amount, they give you half a steer of meat but a handfull of filler at the end i ordered fried ice cream and a drink to go, the drink came in another glass so I ended up pouring it into my sons empty to go cup and the fried ice cream had good flavor once you got past the soggy un chewable corn flakes or similar to corn flakes, now all this would have been ok to deal with of only there was any room to actually eat, with the plates and bowls and lack of table room theres no room to rest your hand or elbow or even put the fajita down you just made on a plate without having to put it on top of the ingredients...theres just no room to actually eat comfortably....I dont know, the place just drove me mad between forever holding my food and waiting to ask for enough guts for the food. Maybe if you cut the meat portion in half and add more lettuce and tomato and such then I bet there would be a lot more room on the table to actually...
ย ย ย Read moreI stopped in to try Rio Grande on a suggestion from a friend. At first look, it definitely seems bar and sports-oriented. But around the corner is a family dining area free of most of those distractions. I entered and was seated quickly at a booth in the corner of the room. The chips and salsa arrived as I looked over the menu. The chips were perfectly hot and fresh, but not at all greasy. The salsa was pretty good but didn't have much heat at all. After reviewing the menu, I decided on their street tacos. I chose two al pastor and one with chorizo. In my experience at other restaurants, both are usually pretty greasy. I was surprised and pleased when these arrived and looked fairly well-drained. I'm a messy eater and don't need any extra help. After trying both tacos, I would say they are equally delicious and would definitely buy them again. The meal came with rice and refried beans, but I'd probably skip both next time. The rice was a little salty and the beans were a little underseasoned. They weren't bad, but weren't the highlight of the meal. Overall, for about $12, I left full and was not disappointed with the food. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other...
ย ย ย Read moreThis has to do with customer service. I called restaurant at non busy time - 3:30, to get a gift card. She said their system was down and couldn't do credit card. I explained I was going to pay cash and she said then no problem. I gave her the amount of the gift card and told her I would be there in 30 minutes. I told her I was disabled and if they could have gift card ready when I arrived would be greatly appreciated because it hurts to stand etc. I arrived and was only person waiting and no one at register (few customer in restaurant). After over 5 minutes of different staff cleaning tables and clearly seeing me, someone finally came over. I explained I was here to pick up the gift card I called about. The lady left, was gone for 4 minutes, came back and said they were out of gift cards. I asked why she didn't tell me that on the phone and her response was I didn't know. I asked when they would be receiving gift cards and she said the manager...
