Read moreTried this place on a whim (and in search of an amazing BPT) and was not disappointed.
First, the ambience of this place is simply amazing and we were immediatly greeted by the friendliest staff as soon as we stepped into the door. It was dinner time and there was plenty of room on the deck, so they got us sat down and quickly got our drinks. After that came the food order, and our server was amazingly patient as our kids hmmm'd and haawed about what they wanted.
We started with an appetizer of The Buffalo Chicken Nachos, and I felt like I was just introduced to a secret recipe that only a few get to behold. This dish was amazing!!! So simple in it's complexity, but full of flavor with the perfect combination of queso, buffalo sauce and chicken. If this was all we ordered, I would have been completely satisfied...and yet...I continue because I couldn't help myself. hehe
I came for the tenderloin, so a tenderloin was what I ordered. So crisp and the perfect thinness. It did slip a little in the seasoning category, but was still very edible...and it was the perfect size. I usually trim the sides and dip them, and was not disappointed there either. The seasoned fries that came with it were also very tasty!
My wife ordered the Soy Chili Glazed Salmon with broccoli. It wasn't dry or overcooked, and possessed the perfect amount of seasoning. She also dug into the nachos to help me clear that plate.
Daughter #1 had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. Not a HUGE fan of buffalo sauce, but she gave it a whirl. She took a few bites, then passed it to my more adventurous eater (daughter #3) who quickly gobbled it up and slid her half of her cheeseburger. Daughter #1 also got the Wolfie Chips as a side...and they were sooooo gooood...so she had to share them with everyone. :-)
Daughter #2 dug into the Horsey Sirloin Steak Tacos and we didn't hear anything from her all dinner long until that plate was cleaned off. SHE LOVED THEM! The meat was very well seasoned and the combination of toppings were perfection!
Our littlest 7 year old, of course, challenged the Wolf Pack Mac N Cheese and loved it. He said that it tasted a little bit smokey, and like the breaded topping. Of course, he loved the chicken strips that were cut and put on top as well...and he's a finicky eater.
All in all, Wolfies Grill was worth the 1 hour drive just to get the food, but the view was a great plus up to the journey and we will definitely be...
Read moreLive right down the street and wanted a quick Monday night meal. I was a former server and it’s pretty rare for me to tip less than 20% and to leave a review. I get it, some people have their bad days. We were a 4 top. I believe our servers name was Rachel? We were the only one of her tables that she did not pay attention to. Not even the slightest. Meanwhile, she was caring for all her other tables like they were her best buds. We were such an inconvenience to her. She didn’t come back and ask us for refills once. & 2 of us were in the mood for a few drinks. She ran away from our table so fast we couldn’t order anything else. She was nowhere to be found when we needed something. 2 people in my party ordered wings. $14. My boyfriend received 8 wings and his sister received 11. When the server finally slowly strolled back to our table, I asked how many wings come with the traditional. She replied with 10. The wings were very over cooked and you could tell our food has been sitting in the window for a good moment. Everything came back wilted, dry and hard. Towards the end of the meal she was closing up with another table that she was all giddy with but refused to make eye contact with us. Unfortunate for her, she made eye contact with our table and asked if we were ready for the bill. We said yes…time goes by, finally get our checks. Put our cards on the clipboard to pay. Server never comes back so we have to get up to look for her. Awful service and terrible food. Such a bummer since we typically enjoyed a quick meal on...
