Here's to Heroes — Restaurant in Norfolk

I always love coming here to get drinks before my flight home (I'm here in Norfolk very often for business purposes). Food is pretty quick and good and this is my go-to since Norfolk International Airport doesn't have an American Airlines Admiral's Club to get free drinks and food.

Bartender was very accommodating this time so I would really recommend coming here if you have to be in the airport terminal A (A2 is my gate and it's right behind me).

Just got recommended the chili (less expensive) over the clam chowder so the staff here are very honest.

Chili bowl is a little small but it's really good.

I'll always come here since theres no American Airlines Admiral's Club.

Staff is always super nice and accommodating.

I don't know what else I can say other than it's called "Here's to the Heroes" benefiting veterans (because Norfolk & the Hampton Roads area is a big Naval area with many Department of Defense and private shipyards ensuring America's superiority at sea).

Hope this review helps other people if there aren't any lounges available and are near gate A wanting to take the edge off & grab a bite before...

On Feb 4th 2022 me and friends were catching a flight to NY and the flight was delayed for a few hours. We decided to get some drinks while we waited and visited this bar for the first time. The bar tender Mike I am most certain of his name was serving that day and while taking the order began to ask questions of what we wanted to drink, then when we given sarcastic remarks such as “can you hurry up” and also “we aren’t annoying just yet” Also” wait for me to clock out work I will see you after “. My friend Kelly even tipped after being disrespectful to us, and he also went on to yell when we were walking away we are ignorant as well I am not sure if it had to do with race but he only spoke to two of us like this out the 3 of a different background , there was a constant embarrassing argument with his guest the 3 of us. Asked for a Tanqueray and tonic. Bartender said "double gin and tonic?" I said "no, single." He held up small side of jigger and said "this is a double." Confused (small side has always been single), I just shrugged and said ok. He put a tall glass in front of me. They usually come in short glasses...again, confused. The drink was $22.50 before tip. About 20 minutes later he told me to finish my drink because they were cleaning up the floor. I wasnt even a third of the way down.
