So on April 1st 2025 I went into the Chesapeake boulevard zeros and ordered the simplest sandwich on their menu, the "Cosmos" with No Tomato, add hot & sweet peppers. So like some kind of a sick April fools joke, I get all the way home to find the sandwich is like the Tomato lovers special, packed with thick sliced tomatoes, and so soaking wet that upon unwrapping it it fell apart. I called back to make them aware of what happened and I was told that if I bring that sandwich back they would make me a new one. Being that I am on a portable oxygen machine and was running out of battery while waiting for my food to begin with I explained to the associate that I could not return tonight and that when they screwed up orders of mine in the past they took my name and put it up on the board with all the other people whose orders they screwed up so that they can try to make it right if the customer returns. She took my name and still insisted that I returned the sub in order for them to get my food right. So I explained that if it's a week or a month from now I will return with their sandwich in a garbage bag because upon rewrapping it and putting it into the sleeves the sandwiches come in the whole soaking wet mess fell apart all over my lap and all over my floor and carpet. So whether it is tomorrow, 4 weeks from now when I am in the area to come back by that zero's location I will bring them that sandwich for my full refund. I have eaten at zeros since the very first one opened decades ago and the cosmos has been my favorite sandwich nearly my entire 60 years. Now I will never eat there again and I don't want them to make me another sandwich nor will I accept anything other than my money back with a great disappointment that a favorite sandwich of mine in the simplest one they can possibly make bread lettuce onion cheese peppers.. was too difficult to get right. Besides it being a soaking wet mess in disintegrating the wax paper it was in as well as falling all over myself in the floor while I tried to re-wrap it, had I bit into that sandwich full of tomatoes I would have been in the emergency room and then we would be talking a whole different ball game. I would have ended up filing a lawsuit and owning that place because it does not live up to the simplest of expectations or make it practical to correct their mistakes other than for me to hang on to their sandwich in a garbage bag until the next time I visit their location. That soaking wet tomato filled falling apart sorry excuse for a sandwich will be on the back porch in a covered bucket festering until I get the opportunity to bring it back to them. And again I just want my money back I don't trust them to make my food for me after nearly 50 years of doing business with the zeros brand. Thanks for wasting my time taking my money and putting my health in danger and then over the top inconveniencing me to hang on to a pile of garbage that was supposed to be a sandwich until I can return it to you as if I'm going to go this far out of my way to rip you off for a $9 sandwich that by the way I tipped $4 on. Nearly a 50% gratuity which I never mind doing for service and hospitality workers but not when you screw up a freaking salad sandwich. See you when I get there have my money ready and you will never see me again. I couldn't be more pissed off and disappointed right now. Can't wait to bring you back your sandwich rotten and molding in a garbage bag that's what you said I have to do to get what I paid for. Just give me my damn money back! I couldn't be more serious and my health couldn't have been more in danger! I use to like this location upon moving to the ocean view area.,and then i became a regular customer to the point me and my spouse would order the same weekly deal & were known by name!However Zeros started getting sloppy in making the food not to mention it would be made wrong! You'd think by now they would know better. Anywho we decided to stop ordering at this location altogether, once we had to get home time after time with sloppy incorrectly made food; and go further out to get it made correctly etc. Ok so fast forward to now almost a year later, i was out and about near this location coming back home and decided to give them one last chance! NOT at all thinking the worse because anytime before even if made incorrectly it would be re-made! However this time was not the case! I placed a simple order of 2 whole grinders all the way! It was made correctly but not at all toasted and VERY SOGGY! So dissatisfied especially after calling 15 times to get thru and being put on hold SMH! Anywho i got home noticed this and immediately called knowing its quarter to closing time 9:45! Younger lady answered this time she had to be about 15-16. I explained my issue with little concern from her". She then said she was putting her boss on the phone, which is who rang me up! I re explained my issue and was also just there! She told me that they are closing and it takes time to reheat oven etc. I again explained that this was an issue that was done by zeros and not me; she continued to repeat the same thing getting no where by this time its now 953! 7 minutes till close. She finally says after telling me no several time to call back in the morning and speak with her boss! Then she puts me on HOLD wasting more time when my sub could have simply been made. She told me yes then said no! After claiming to call her boss she gets on the phone and asks for my number and name and says her boss will contact me in the morning!!! And then she hung up in my ear! WAIT WHAT??? No time to play with anyone's child they will never make another 16.50 off me!!! But god dosent at all like ugly! I'm a buisness owner as well and i will most definitely be reaching out to my highest resources!!!. One thing no one is going to do is try and insult my intelligence; and/or tell me you completely understand and do absolutely nothing,when you can! Read moreI have 5 starred this Zeros, I've recommended and raved about this Zeros. It WAS my favorite sub place. Tonight we ordered 3 subs. My mother in law is in town from Key West and I was so glad when she requested Zeros subs. She called and ordered 1 whole grub steak as it comes,1 whole grub steak no tomato and onion, at this point the girl told her tomatoes don't come on Grubb steak sandwiches and she ordered a whole salami no tomato or onion. We received a salami sub with many tomatoes, no oil and vinegar or lettuce and very little cheese. Extremely dry. My mother in laws grub sub which was ordered as it comes had small areas of meat & cheese spotted over the whole sand. No lettuce,no oil no seasonig so dry she chocked down 3 bites & tossed it.
