My father had been here a few times today and cites it as one of his new favorite locations for a stellar homemade dish. Needless to say, I had to give DiCor a shot.
Upon first arrival, you instantly get the feeling that it's all about family here; it's a compact location with some Italian and Argentinian -based décor and aesthetics. The staff is instantly recognizable as a tight-knit family that just warms your heart instantly.
We sat down, got some bread, some water, and peeked at the menu. The empanadas de carne were a mount-watering appetizer; a perfectly crisp exterior with a flawlessly seasoned interior. For the main course, I have no idea what it was called but we both got this chicken-based pasta dish with mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes. Absolute gas.
We got the opportunity afterwards to speak to the owner, George, and we detailed his experience coming to America and learning to cook. He does a damn good job and he has earned my respect.
I'll be returning to DiCor as soon as I get the chance. In my mind, this is is a perfect representation of all our grandmothers' cooking combined into one lovely...
Read moreAnother great meal. I ordered the Adrianna with veal and the in-house hand-made pasta which is extra, but worth it!!!! The mushrooms were different than your typical white or portobellos, but were delicious. My handsome significant other ordered the Involtini with veal and made to order, due to a certain cheese allergy. Also it is a favorite dish he orders when he’s in Europe. So when he described it and showed a picture they showed us it on the menu and made it to order, and it was fantastic!!! This is hands down our new top Italian restaurant!!!! We are very picky about our sauces and they do not disappoint. We really appreciated how they cater and really listen to what you want and go above and beyond to satisfy. Also it is family owned and it shows!! They are very warm, friendly and welcoming people who like to come out and talk with their patrons.
Again a definite must if you are looking for great authentic food, welcoming service and a relaxing evening. Hands down...
Read moreGood to see this small gem of a restaurant made it through COVID. Family run. Tucked away in a small strip mall. Unusual menu of Italian and authentic Argentinian dishes (my wife and I have been to Argentina). We all started with Empanadas, choice of 6 kinds. Two are sufficient for most people. Choice of baked or fried (we chose baked). Very good. My wife had the Canelones ala Bechamel (stuffed crepes). Very good. My son went for the Salmone alla Jesica (cheese stuffed salmon). Very good as well. I had classic Veal Florintina. Again very good, but too large a serving. Unusual for us, we went for dessert. My son tried the Copa Stracciatella (a chocolate chip gelato), my wife the dulce de leche Flan, and I had the Connoli. Excellent. Extensive wine list. Bottled beer only with an interesting Argentinian beer....
