I have had good experiences at Orzo in the distant past. I guess they must have either a new or very confused and rude staff there now.
I suggested to my daughter that she meet her friends there as it was a good central location for them. Each person was served something that was not as described on the menu, and a compromise. One person asked for scallops instead of shrimp with her pasta. The waitress did not tell her it would cost more money. All in all the food was described as very inferior.
When the bill came there was a large increase in price for the scallops, even though there was no mention of an upcharge. When the bill was questioned I hear the waitress was very rude about it. So the manager was contacted, who arrived at the table "shaking" she was so furious that someone had complained.
I may not have every detail correct, but I am horrified that my daughter and her wonderful and very polite (AND NON COMPLAINING UNLESS THERE IS A GOOD CAUSE) friends were treated in such a rude way.
WHY ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE RUDE WORKING WITH THE PUBLIC?...ALL THEY WILL DO IS LOSE BUSINESS FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT...AND A BAD WORD TRAVELS FASTER THAN A GOOD ONE.
I hope the owner reads this. I am sue there will be more.
My whole family used to dine there;...

Made reservations for Friday and were immediately told we can’t sit by the window because those tables are for six, not five people. Give me a break. The first time we came here, the place was a ghost town and they sat us in the back. After a long winded unnecessary sigh, the hostess made the exception.
Food and atmosphere was like everything else on the north shore. Bland unfriendly wasps and overpriced Sysco food in a strip mall that people pay an arm and a leg for.
Our friend tries to pay with a few Mastercard gift cards she got for Christmas as a nice treat for all of us. The waiter is confused, disappears, comes back to clarify then sends a female waitress over who felt the need to announce to the entire table and corner of the restaurant that $150 gift cards are best used at a gas station and not a restaurant and that they cannot except them because it doesn’t allow them to enter a tip when we clearly had cash to leave them. I’ve never heard of this in my life. A perfectly nice evening ruined by someone’s laziness and lack of effort.
If you want to eat in a waspy white geriatric waiting room with no life or character, this is...
Read moreTucked away in a small shopping plaza, it’s easy to miss Orzo. Inside is a full sized restaurant and bar with an extensive menu of Italian dishes and American fare. The first thing you’re served is a basket of homemade bread sticks with grated cheese and olive oil for dipping. Delicious. My wife and I started with the fresh baked mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto. Unusual and very good. My son went with the Eggplant Rollatini: eggplant stuffed with 3 cheeses. Excellent. For our main, my wife and I both had the Orzo Special: clams, mussels and shrimp in a white sauce over pasta. Very good. Our only complaint would be that the mussels were not very fresh. My son went with the special of the day: steak tips. He likes them rare and was surprised when they actually were rare. Again very good. My son ended with the lava cake. I had an expresso. Good wine list. Bottled beer, no draft. Good service. Busy and somewhat noisy as might be expected. A comfortable and enjoyable...
