Star's Restaurant — Restaurant in North Apollo

This evening, my family & I went to Star’s Grille in Apollo for dinner. This is the third time I have been there & their food is always wonderful.

Unfortunately, we had an absolutely awful experience, and I am just going to share.🤷🏻‍♀️

So we arrived, sat on the patio, and ordered some food. We sat and waited for our food, for about 30-45 minutes before I went inside and asked nicely- “Hey, do you know how long our food will be?” and shortly after our food arrived. All was well, they said they were very busy, which we all absolutely understand!! We made sure our food was warm & everything was okay!

Until the female owner proceeded to come to our table and ask what the issue was, and when my dad told her, she replyed with a snide comment about how busy they are. Which the waitress had already clarified, after a little bit of banter back & forth, mainly my dad asking for her to stop being disrespectful. He also was worked up at the time. (As one would be.) She said “Well once you finish our food, we never want to see you back here.” Which is fine!! (We already decided that we were not returning.) THEN the owner was incredibly disrespectful and walked towards the entrance & said “I hate people” loud enough for us to hear!! Then I asked for boxes so we could take our food home. We had literally taken maybe one or two bites of our food. Without turning her back, she was in the door way, and screamed “NO” at me. My dad told her that we would pay our bill if we could have boxes to take our food home, but if not we were leaving. (Which i was not okay with, having worked in the food service industry for several years, I know how it is)

Needless to say, the cops were called- but when they showed up, my dad had already paid our bill.🤷🏻‍♀️ & We had boxes, but we did not want to take any food home by that time. So it was left on the table.

Anyways, it’s unfortunate that an owner of an establishment would act like that. It was incredibly...

Where to start......... The lady running around having to bartend/wait tables/bus tables and take orders was great.........place has average cleanliness......... now the bad. we eat in and around apollo often. Order took 1 1/2 hrs. to get. This was by far the most expensive place for my family of 6 total was $160 around $50 more for all our meals then the next closest in cost and $80 more than 2 days worth of food from pizza hut for us...........The food was some of the worst we have ever had if not the worst anywhere locally (I had high hopes going in) .... wings were over cooked and no flavor (other than that burnt taste you get) despite being covered in paprika, pizza was horrible it looked pretty but the cardboard box would have tasted better (3 of my kids would not even eat it after 1st bites, fries shoestring style regular and an order of seasoned were bad, fish sandwiches were just OK at best, chicken sandwich and burger were average........ I don't often leave reviews of any kind but if I could have returned my food items...

This was my first time here and the staff really went out of their way to make our visit a good experience! Though I think maybe next time we will not attend on a Friday night due to the high amount of customers. Unfortunately we waited for our food for a prettyyy long time but we were still treated with the upmost kindness and professionalism when I asked to box the food once it came to the table.. so that we could leave. This left a huge impression with me. I had a horrible day that left me defeated and even though they might’ve felt stressed with not only me but the rush and trying to keep up with orders.. They still managed to treat me with kindness and respect and I won’t...
