My husband and I went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived at 4:30 on a Monday afternoon. When we walked in there were several members of the waitstaff standing around some were on their phone. We were left standing at the door for a bit before finally being seated. After being seated we were not served. We waited at our table for over 30 minutes while others that were seated after us were being served. We just got up and left. No one said a word to us. We overheard one waitress tell another waitress that her party was leaving and she replied I wasn’t aware that I had a party! I later put a bad review on the restaurant facebook page. The general manager then left a comment that they were short staffed and it had been very difficult for them! I found that remark to be very cold, uncaring and nonchalant and I took great offense at it. There is a distinct difference in being understaffed and the staff standing around playing on their phones! We were completely ignored and made to feel invisible. What a great anniversary celebration we had at...

Read moreOur server was incredibly kind and helpful, and the atmosphere here was great, with vintage photos of Berwick all around the restaurant. The food was even more exemplary, with the only exception being a slightly overcooked lobster tail, that I think speaks to the quality of this restaurant that even being a bit chewier than I would have liked it was still so flavorful I hardly cared. I had a Fisherman's platter and split a lazymans lobster with my friend, and every bite was delicious. The breading on everything fried was flavorful and crispy to perfection. Even the vegetable of the day, butter nut squash, was delicious! The drinks we had were also well prepared and cleverly built! Mine was a pumpkin-pie/apple cider themed drink and it tasted wonderful!
I just moved to Berwick in May, and I am so happy that my first experience with seafood in the New England area was so good! I'm definitely going to be coming back for any special occasions or to fulfill my...
