Poppy's Coffee and Kitchen 2 — Restaurant in North Branford

Came in to get a coffee and some food this morning. Got the mocha. Coffee is strong, but tasty. Lid of the coffee did not fit well, and caused spilling when I tried to stir. The woman at the front was nice, but hard to understand, and had headphones in the entire time she was serving me. Additionally, the cook had an emergency and had to leave, so I was unable to try any of the food, which was disappointing, but didn’t play into my rating since I didn’t actually try the food. Coffee and food items are PRICEY. Almost $6 for a medium sized mocha, and the menu lists an avocado...

Pleasant environment with lite blues music in the background. I was disappointed by what I ordered... A BBLT whis is basically a BLT with reg bacon and Canadian bacon. The Canadian bacon was too thick almost a 1/2 inch thick and fatty. The toast was not really toasted. The curly fries were good. The coffee while good was pricey at $3.50 for a cup. The most important consideration is that there is a similar restaurant in the same town named Poppy's... In business for about 40 years. Can't believe the confusion...

Don't sleep on this place. Immediately greeted as we walked in. Awesome staff, super chatty in a great way. We ordered a BECA (bacon, egg, cheese, avocado), a steak, egg, and cheddar, and some home fries. Food FLEW out of the kitchen and was FANTASTIC. my drip coffee was great, the wife's chai was even better. Chill atmosphere. Will def stop again if we are...
