Sweet Poppy's — Restaurant in North Branford

I worked with Jaclyn earlier this year to do a large catering order for my wedding. We have a lot of family members with different food allergies and Sweet Poppy's allowed us to have desserts where everyone could eat. Jaclyn was incredibly helpful from the start. I called several local bakeries, all of whom didn't give me the time of day on the phone. Jaclyn was so receptive, and made me feel heard & important. She was incredibly responsive to email and calls. The day of the wedding I didn't have to worry at all! The donuts were delivered without a problem. Each donut had it's own small serving wrapper to make it easier for guests. They looked perfect on the table along with our other options. So many of my guests came to me and complimented the allergy friendly donuts. A family member told me he hadn't had a chocolate donut in nearly 10 years because of his dietary restrictions. I was very excited to support a local business and get goodies for my gluten free and dairy free friend for her birthday! However, I placed the order on 3/21/25, received confirmation but have never heard anything else. I have called and emailed multiple times! I even messaged them on fb. I am very frustrated and disappointed. From reading the reviews, it sounds like multiple people have experienced this issue in the past month. update: when I placed the order I was out of state. my girlfriend and I just stopped in this place for a quick snack and were amazed at the desserts we tasted. since she’s vegan we are always looking for new vegan desserts to try and it was such a pleasant surprise to find that everything in the bakery is vegan! the owner greeted us with a smile and walked us through all her baked goods and was clearly very knowledgeable about and excited to share her work. we tried the snickerdoodle cupcake with cinnamon frosting and chocolate frosted brownies and they were so delicious. a lot of times you’ll hear people say food is “good for being vegan” but these desserts were delectable regardless of vegan status! we can’t wait to...
