I was initially disappointed to learn that Katâs Sandwich Shop does not allow cats, despite the name. I brought my furry companion along for lunch, only to have a rather aggressive staff member grab it by the tail, spin it like a lasso, and launch it straight out the window. Understandably, I voiced my concerns, but was swiftly informed that she would do the same to me âif I wanted some.â After assessing the situationâand the sheer physical presence of the woman in questionâI decided to let it slide.
Moving past that, the sandwich and coffee were decent, though paying for them turned into an unexpected ordeal. Instead of receiving a bill, I received several strikes to the face and a demand for all the money I had. Naturally, I complied. As a final touch, she kicked me hard and leaned in close to whisper that she knows Micky the Dog and would like to âtake me fishingâ this weekend.
I cannot say for sure whether this was a threat or an invitation, but I am choosing to remain optimistic. I think thereâs a spark between us, and I am hoping this could be the start of...
Read moreWanted to find a place for a quick bite for a late lunch that wasn't fried or heavy since we still had some car time to go. Stopped here and this is the spot!! Staff was super friendly, despite the fact that we were there closer to their closing time and they really made the vibe welcoming. Both my son and I ordered the Italian- mine all the way, his without tomato, onion or banana peppers. Mine cold, his hot. Both arrived exactly as ordered within a short time and were delicious!! That's hands down the best sandwich I have had in a while. Paid a little more than I normally would for subs but it was well worth it. My son is usually very picky (I was surprised he even looked twice at the Italian) but enjoyed it so much, he's still talking about it hours later. Great sandwiches and great staff- couldn't have...
Read moreStopped for lunch after a 7 hour drive on Saturday June 18. The girl who took my order for a sandwich to take to the beach and a water for my hot and tired dog was rude, unfriendly, unprofessional. No smile, please or thank you as she rudely took my sandwich order and gave me a half of a plastic cup of water for my dog. It was NOT busy- in fact only one person sitting on the deck outside. She Strongly warned me to NOT open the cold beer I ordered unless I stayed seated on their patio. Okay sure- no problem. Told me in a threatening way⌠ridiculously unfriendly way to begin a much anticipated summer vacation. As a result we purposely went to sandwich shops in Frisco and Buxton as to avoid Katâs this week. Better and more friendly service needed for us to return To Katâs...
