I was initially disappointed to learn that Kat’s Sandwich Shop does not allow cats, despite the name. I brought my furry companion along for lunch, only to have a rather aggressive staff member grab it by the tail, spin it like a lasso, and launch it straight out the window. Understandably, I voiced my concerns, but was swiftly informed that she would do the same to me “if I wanted some.” After assessing the situation—and the sheer physical presence of the woman in question—I decided to let it slide.

Moving past that, the sandwich and coffee were decent, though paying for them turned into an unexpected ordeal. Instead of receiving a bill, I received several strikes to the face and a demand for all the money I had. Naturally, I complied. As a final touch, she kicked me hard and leaned in close to whisper that she knows Micky the Dog and would like to “take me fishing” this weekend.

I cannot say for sure whether this was a threat or an invitation, but I am choosing to remain optimistic. I think there’s a spark between us, and I am hoping this could be the start of...

Wanted to find a place for a quick bite for a late lunch that wasn't fried or heavy since we still had some car time to go. Stopped here and this is the spot!! Staff was super friendly, despite the fact that we were there closer to their closing time and they really made the vibe welcoming. Both my son and I ordered the Italian- mine all the way, his without tomato, onion or banana peppers. Mine cold, his hot. Both arrived exactly as ordered within a short time and were delicious!! That's hands down the best sandwich I have had in a while. Paid a little more than I normally would for subs but it was well worth it. My son is usually very picky (I was surprised he even looked twice at the Italian) but enjoyed it so much, he's still talking about it hours later. Great sandwiches and great staff- couldn't have...

Stopped for lunch after a 7 hour drive on Saturday June 18. The girl who took my order for a sandwich to take to the beach and a water for my hot and tired dog was rude, unfriendly, unprofessional. No smile, please or thank you as she rudely took my sandwich order and gave me a half of a plastic cup of water for my dog. It was NOT busy- in fact only one person sitting on the deck outside. She Strongly warned me to NOT open the cold beer I ordered unless I stayed seated on their patio. Okay sure- no problem. Told me in a threatening way… ridiculously unfriendly way to begin a much anticipated summer vacation. As a result we purposely went to sandwich shops in Frisco and Buxton as to avoid Kat’s this week. Better and more friendly service needed for us to return To Kat’s...

Stopped and had lunch at Kat's Deli and was definitely glad we did. I got the Sweet Home Avocado wrap which was excellent to the last bite. The wrap was seared well on the outside and the inside of the wrap was stuffed with tender tasty chicken melted cheese, and avocado. It was very very good. They were busy but kept everything moving seamlessly. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was very clean inside and out. Plenty of outdoor seating. There is nowhere to eat inside. Plenty of parking available. There was a funny hen walking around. She was very docile and would eat any scraps you have. Keep the great food coming. I look forward to going back again.

Just a "shot in the dark". In a small shopping center. We pulled in. We were looking for food...and the opportunity arose. Kat's Deli is a "call ahead and order" or "show up, place your order and find a table outside in the beautiful sunshine"...or "under the large welcoming porch" kind of place. Made to order sandwiches with fun names. Chicken salad. Meatball sandwiches. Hummus. BLTs. And an entire chalkboard of wonderful sounding foods. Waters, teas, sodas, beers, IPAs...lots of choices in bottled drinks. Just the place for good food on a sunny day in December. Oh...and take time to smell the candles! The "Root Beer" candle scent is GREAT!
