Tuckers Sports Bar & Grille — Restaurant in North Carolina

The food was decent. Nothing to boast about but it was good. The service though was horrendous. Our waitress treated us like she was thoroughly annoyed we came in to eat. We are on our way to NAGS HEAD and this place popped up on Google as a good spot to stop, stretch our legs and eat some food in the cool AC. It says open to public. She didn't introduce herself or say hi. She just started passing out menus and telling us an appetizer they had. She dropped off our drinks, said "here ya go." And immediately walked away to go mess with her phone at the back of the bar...didn't even ask if we were ready to order and we were. She finally came back, took our order and then walked away again and was never to be seen until our food came out. When the food finally came out we had to request refills on our drinks and she kept walking away so quick that she ended up walking back & forth to our table instead of asking if all of us needed refills at once. But oh well, she created more work for herself I guess. After that we didn't see her again until she brought the check. She ran our card and when she came back she didn't even say bye or have a nice day. Thanks for coming. Nada. Very disappointing and I hope she sees that in the disappointing tip...

We were traveling through the area and found this place on the map. The menu looked like our kind of food so we gave it a try. We tried the wings, chicken tenders, fries, burger & chips. All of the items were excellent! We really enjoyed our meal. We both were able to find a drink we liked as well.

Turns out we had too much food so we ended up with leftovers. Oh darn! Haha 😆

I played in a tournament recently at the Carolina Club with 48+ players, and when the event was over, we all went to Tucker's. The group I play with travels every three weeks together, and we usually overwhelm bars and clubhouse restaurants when our events are over, but Tucker's was up for the challenge. The staff was amazing, we didn't have to wait more than the normal wait for food or drinks, and they were friendly. The beer selection was solid, and the food was great....
