Waffle House — Restaurant in North Carolina

The South of the Border Waffle House was great and my daughter still talks about Pat the server he was very friendly great service interacts with children to the point where we had to stop there again as soon as she knew we were going to the area she said we need to stop by and see Pat at Waffle House and we will always ❤️the south only I'm going to be real clear on this I went to the Waffle House in Camden Delaware trying to fulfill was a craving along with seven in my family wow total opposite couldn't get out of there fast enough didn't even get drinks before our food we were the only people in there just bad bad bad bad bad service also two of the people that went with me have never been into a Waffle House in their entire life and unless I drag them back in the door after that experience in Delaware they won't ever again but like I said at the South of the Border North Carolina South Carolina the best Waffle House I have ever been to the service...

Update: I updated this review to reflect the correct name of the employee. Originally had the name Tim but meant to say Pat!!!....... Wow! My family and I just ate at the Waffle House on the South of The Border exit. We were VERY impressed by Pat's customer service!!! He was knowledgeable, personable, and had fantastic customer service! After taking our order, he assisted the cook with preparing the food and we never had to ask for refills because he kept them coming!!! The food was EXCELLENT and the cook did a great job with the quality and preparation of the food. I must say that this is the BEST waffle house that we have visited. I'm a weary traveler passing through and I figured that because I hear so much good about Waffle House, I'd give it a try for the first time.

Big mistake on my part. Not only was I treated like an outsider, stared at by a person dining with an employee, but after placing my order and waiting for TWENTY MINUTES, I approached the counter to find out that while they were perfectly fine to take my money, they didn't even start making my order, forgot about it, and didn't even apologize for the insult.
