This has been the worst visit I have had at this restaurant. I’ve dined there several times and has always enjoyed it. But tonight was awful. I ordered the blackened salmon, with salad bar and sweet potato. Appetizers was crab cake bites. 1st plate of salad had a long blonde string of hair. I told the waitress and she was very apologetic. I didn’t make a fuss.. Went back and fixed a 2nd plate and about 3 spoons in I find plastic paper.. At this point I called the waitress over and showed her again. At that point I said I give up.. Again she apologized. She then took the plate and showed the manager again. She returned saying I had to go over where he was standing to talk to him. I walked over, he asked was there a problem... in a not so friendly voice. I explained both incidents as if he didn’t already know what they were.. He proceeded to tell me the salad is free. They don’t charge for salad. I explained to him, no sir that is apart of the meal. He didn’t try to adjust my ticket or anything. I told him I have no problem paying for my food.. But I wasn’t paying for the salad I didn’t eat. So after going back and forward for a second I told him to take the entire meal off my ticket. He had the waitress take all the food I ordered back from my table. I am currently a restaurant manager and would never treat a customer this way. His 1st point of business should have been to come to the table and correct the issue after the 1st incident.. But instead he was very very rude and not once did he apologize. Not once.. Needless to say I’m not sure if I’ll ever go back. This situation should have been handled a lot better than it was. He is a slack manager with no customer...

Visually, they are trying to make this a beautiful space. I enjoyed the color scheme and decor. Ceiling corners need dusted.

We saw four waitstaff and no one at the front desk, so they lost a lot of customers while we were there. One dish runner was hopping all night.

The paintings on the wall had more personality than our waitress. Not sure if she was just having a bad day or just isn't personable.

The other three were all over the restaurant, quickly, helping others and her tables. People seated long after we got there (30 minutes or more) received their food quite awhile before we got ours (10 minutes maybe).

We had the Mahi Mahi and a Ribeye (very good), the spinach artichoke appetizer (not much flavor), and of course the salad bar (fabulous but must wear a glove).

I have never contemplated walking out of a restaurant before getting my food before.

I have never had a waitress who didn't give updates or chat and was as bland as unseasoned rice. I have never wanted to tell a waitress she would do better in another line of work (I didn't but I thought about it).

The food is pricey. The atmosphere isn't horrible. But the staff can make or break a place. And I get it that everywhere is short-staffed but...

Overall it was okay, the food saved it from being a horrible experience. Had we not just parked our camper and wanted a decent meal (first place was closed and we weren't told at check-in) we would...

There is so much to say that went wrong at my stay. Which is weird because this was my first visit and my family had spoken so highly of this place.

  1. We asked for a Medium Steak. Both came out over well done the first time. It took forever for the server to come back to ask for a new one and when it came out a second time, it was under done and my side was very small and didn't taste the best, but I still ate it because I didn't want to hold my party up.
  2. We ordered a hot coffee and a hot tea, they came out Ice cold. When brought to the servers attention, she only brought back a tea and we never received the hot coffee.
  3. Our server was very dismissive with us and almost whispered the entire time to the point we're we didn't hear her but at other tables, she spoke loud and clear and had a better approach to the guests. And she rarely came to check on us, we had to keep flashing her down.
  4. They put me right up against the doors to what I assume was a party hall and I got hit by the door so many times by both guests and employees. We had to move our table about a foot or two away just so I wouldn't contributed to get hit while trying to enjoy a family dinner.

Overall the salad bar was a good addition to the dinner and even though there were a few set backs throughout our meal, the family still had a...

When I was a junior in high school, I started working at what was then Las Maracas Steakhouse at South of The Border. Today, it is known as The Peddler Steakhouse. While much has changed in the way of interior upgrades, the one thing that has remained is the great tasting food and excellent service. We were greeted with a smile and friendly conversation and led to our table where Gabby rendered us great service from beginning to end. From the very fresh and crisp salad bar to the appetizer sampler and main dishes, everything was on point here at The Peddler. If I'm being honest, Gabby is a much, much better server than I was in my day. When you're in this part of the country, stop in at The Peddler. I am confident you'll be satisfied.

Our waitress was a sweet lady, not pushy and very feminine unlike the waitress at the other restaurant yesterday who is very arrogant sound and no class. Even though my husband doesn’t like the taste of wasabi-like ranch they gave him it was not a big issue the chef came to our table and nicely asked what was going on because the waitress couldn’t answer the wasabi-taste-like of one of our meals. The waitress came back and gave us the ordinary ranch dressing. Quite and clean place for a family dinner for travelers like us. Real candle is a plus. The candle has little to no scent when you need to calm down and relax by the look of it.

My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in back banquet room. Service was impeccable very accommodating to your needs. Although, for price of a steak dinner @ $35.80 our guest received a paper thin steak full of fat! It was disappointing because my parents eat their regularly and have never been served a steak of that quality! Salad bar was amazing sure hit with our party. Not to mention, I knew couple people in dining room while making my salad. I was shocked when I saw steak that was served to them! No comparison only reason, I rated the food a three is reason why when our party members paid same amount.
