This is hands down the worst place that I have ever tried to eat in my entire life. I would simply like to begin by stating that Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite hands down. The first image you get of this place is not pleasant. It is in a shack like building off of Rivers Avenue. Upon entering, I attempted to order a rice dish with pork and my friends ordered a noodle bowl with a number of meats on the inside. Once my dish arrived, I quickly noticed that the portion size was capable of feeding maybe a hamster, not to mention the fact that it was literally a pork chop on top of rice.. Real classy. But alas, no problem I assumed.. Even though this was priced at $11.00, I've paid more for less and as long as the taste is great who cares. I sliced a small piece of the pork and anxiously tasted it. This was the most bland, disgusting thing I've ever tasted; let alone from a Vietnamese restaurant. I then pushed the plate to the side after the single bite and patiently waited to get the attention of a waiter. Once the waiter came over to ask if all was well, I told him that my food did not taste good at all. He then went to the back to talk to his manager (the lady who owns the place I guess) and when he came back he said that there was nothing that they could do. Right... Nothing they could do.. Perfect. I then told him that I was not going to be paying for this meal since it was horrendous and he then told me that I would have to speak to the manager (though he insisted it was hapless). The time came for when the check was presented and the incompetent owner quickly tried to put the check together with myself and my two friends. She was determined to make sure that I was charged for that garbage. I then told her I was not going to pay for something that was disgusting and that I did not eat. I literally had the one bite to taste the disaster. The chef (if he can even call himself that) came out to double up and back up the owner lady (perhaps this was her husband?) and he began to compare his food to fast food chains and say that "the food taste different everywhere you go, this is not McDonalds where everything the same and everybody who come here like it". Yeah.. That's great.. Except I have been to a plethora of other places and while there is truth to his statement, that is by no means proper justification for that trash that he served. The owner lady then began to tell me that she was going to call the cops if I don't pay. That's right, I was threatened to have the policed called on me for something I didn't eat because it was disgusting. Despite my calm demeanor the entire time as I tried to speak reason, the owners insisted on being irate in order to have their way. Apparently, stealing is okay as long as they don't think their actions are stealing. These people have a lot to learn and I can only hope that karma will pay it's due diligence with this pathetic...
Read moreI was in high hopes this place would be as amazing as the reviews are. The food was okay at best, the chicken fried noodles had to much salt/pepper. The egg rolls were good however I feel like it was the reused ones I accidentally ordered.
When I ordered I asked for spring rolls, I read on the googled reviews that the fried spring rolls are the best. The rice paper spring rolls came out and I kindly let the gentleman know that I did not mean to order them. He was kind about the interaction, I ordered the fried egg rolls. While I was waiting on my food I heard the gentleman and another co-worker very loudly talk about how when I ordered I should have said fried and how anyone who would know would have said ordered it correctly, this was repeated 2-3 times.
After this interaction I immediately felt uncomfortable and requested my food to be togo and that I would pay for the spring rolls that were originally ordered as well. The gentleman stated that I did not have to leave and that I should not feel uncomfortable about their conversation since it was just work talk between them. Then goes forward saying that the young lady who took my food is never wrong when she takes orders. At this point I feel as if I am being called and liar. I work in the restaurant industry customer service is not this places strong suit.
I pay and take my food togo, I still tipped 20% for the lady who did nothing wrong. I will never be returning to this establishment, please spend your money on a place who cares about their...
Read moreLet me share my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the number 30. It came quick but when I taste it the food was burnt. I told my waitress and the owner came to see me. She out right told me I was going to pay. Never gave me a chance to speak on what was wrong. I then tell her I don't have a problem paying but I don't want to eat burnt food. She then begins to make a show. Me being in a black female in a military uniform states you do not have to make a scene. I don't want burnt food I want my food remade. Then she tells me no and she's going to call the cops. I tell her call them because I never said I wasn't going to pay. She then walks offs and grabs food out ofcthe refrigerator bare hands and throws it in grease after she had her hands all in her hair and on other dirty objects. being who I am walks up to pay and the husband comes up and ask can he remake my food. I state yes and the lady starts yelling at her husband. I then state if you make my food I don't want your wife near it. She then she starts yelling some more at me and him. I simply pay for it and the the waitress tells me she has A child and I could at least tip. I was going to tip her because she had nothing to do with the food. I guess she figured since I paid with a card I wasn't. Little did she know I already left her tip on the table and because she had that to say. I went back and got it. The wife race is a...
