I’ve gone to so many haunted houses and hayrides over the years they all seem pretty redundant but I have never seen anything like this before. Not really sure how to even describe it. Escape room meets maze meets horror. Idk but it was an awesome experience! From the outside it just looks like a large warehouse but the inside is spectacular. I won’t give anything away but I took my son, daughter, and her friend, to the daytime experience with no actors to get the “less intense” version. My son was still scared and didn’t go though, which I will say was a good idea because it was WAY scarier than I would have imagined. Especially without live actors! The jump scares plus the overall creepy factor of not knowing what’s next was awesome and enough to keep anyone entertained. The overall experience lasted about an hour but we were a little slow moving since it was only 3 of us. This is a group effort kind of thing so the more people you go with I imagine you’d move through quicker. I also want to give a huge thank you to the staff there (I’m not sure if they were the owners or not) but while in the warehouse I had no cell service and my son is a diabetic (without service I can’t view his glucose remotely) it’s impossible to predict these things but he went low while I was inside, he’s old enough to care for himself but they really looked after him and even got him a little snack to get him stable just like he needed. As a mom you have no idea how grateful I am for that. PS for reference - the opinion of my kids - they said it was scarier than Boone Halls Halloween attraction and we had no...
Read moreShort version, stunning design, wonderfully challenging, delightly game opp and management who seemed to be on top of thier game when they had a power outage right before our initial booking time. Long version Absolutely amazing escape room! My team did a a full two hour block for all four mini rooms and the variety of puzzles, the flow of the rooms, and yes even the (animatronic) jump scares were a real blast. Easily the largest escape room I’ve done that uses that space very well, enough to be a bit disorienting, but not so much that you’re mixed up on each puzzle “room”. Our Game master was wonderful, with some great customization for our game where we didn’t really ask for clues but offered some “observational checks” where we rolled a D20 die we had and the “hints” had matching value- for example a 4 got a nice vague “there’s something in that room” while a 16 would be more specific, needed up being something we really enjoyed. Finally going back to giving extra props to the management. They had a full power outage shortly before our original booked time, they called us in advance, saving us an unnecessary trip, quickly worked out a plan for us (an out of town team) to still have a chance to play the rooms before leaving town. They kept us updated on the status, and while a full refund was offered if needed, they were able to open early the next day for us to experience the game and it was absolutely worth it. Certainly hope they make some expansions and tweaks to make it work returning to...
Read moreI just finished this place with my boyfriend. We both agreed that this is a one trip kinda thing. I like that a lot of detail was put into each of the different style rooms. The issue is that it’s easy to feel lost as you go through each level. There are no hints or anything to help guide your train of thought to know what to do. You have to fumble around and hope you pick something relevant in order to progress. You’re allotted an hour but we finished in 20-30 minutes because you only do 1 or 2 things in each section. While this wasn’t my favorite activity, I want to thank the staff for staying in character, being helpful, and doing a great job.
Edit: I appreciate the owner taking the time to respond. I do see that the website states “each experience lasts approximately 35-45 minutes” in one section and says the experience lasts “approximately 40 minutes” in another. I am a bit confused why the owner would say there’s no set time limit but have that on their website at least twice. I also never stated that I thought this was an escape room to any degree.
Regardless of the type of attraction this is, it does not change how we experienced it. What has impacted it, is the owner’s response of putting words into my mouth and attempting to shame me for my review despite them misinterpreting my comment. I hope other people will have a better experience or spend their time/ money elsewhere if this how the owner treats...
