Eleven19 kitchen & cocktails — Restaurant in North Chicago

It was my first time buying from this place and I was very disappointed. I order my food online at 7:56pm and it supposed to be ready in 20 mins . Got there at 8:22pm and order wasn’t ready. A lady told me it will be ready in a min and she’ll bring it outside for me. Waited 30 mins outside and nothing yet, I called and asked if it was ready and the same lady told me it will be ready in 2 mins. Waited another 20 mins and called again to canceled my order because they really didn’t consider on my time. The lady told me it was ready to come get but at this point I didn’t want to deal with that anymore because they kept giving the same excuse. At the end I told the same lady to bring it outside as she offer and promise but this time she said no, so I told ok then cancel it and give a refund. She said to call Monday (this was Sunday) because they didn’t have a manager. And I was ok with it. When I was about leave this guy came outside and apologize for the inconvenience and asked me to take the order , so it didn’t get wasted. Me being nice after all of that inconvenience I said yes. He also offer me a margarita and said no, but he insisted and said ok. He brought me the food and the drink outside. The food was Okay (I order 2 seaboil) ( good tastes but , I paid for extra shrimps and crab legs and tbh it barely had shrimps and crabs legs were smaller, this had more potatoes than other things. I’m not trying to be mean but I feel like you guys should consider the customers time, and because of this bad experience...

I visited Eleven19 and was highly disappointed. I traveled an hour and 20 minutes to the restaurant, excited based on its reputation for great food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, I experienced neither upon arrival.

The restaurant was extremely crowded, and we waited 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took another 25-30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, and after placing our orders, we waited nearly two hours to receive our food.

We ordered catfish and grits, salmon and grits, mac and cheese, greens, and sweet potatoes. While our drinks were strong and well-made, the overall experience was frustrating. We arrived at 7:45 PM, but we didn’t receive our food until 10:45 PM—a completely unacceptable wait time.

The customer service was one of the poorest experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress, Gina, was kind and tried her best to keep us informed, but unfortunately, she seemed overwhelmed and ended up working at the bar most of the evening. It appeared the restaurant was short-staffed, which may have contributed to the delays, but there was no real resolution offered for the excessive wait times.

I had high hopes for this visit, and I’m extremely disappointed that it didn’t live up to expectations. While I am willing to give the restaurant another chance in the future, it won’t be anytime soon. Hopefully, my next experience will be...

Our family had the pleasure of dining at Eleven19 in North Chicago to celebrate my niece's graduation from the Navy. Being from Texas, we were eager to experience some local cuisine, and Eleven19 did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere.

Our server, Corey (the young guy with cool tattoos), truly went above and beyond to ensure our evening was memorable. He was not only incredibly attentive but also engaging and entertaining. We bonded over the fact that neither of us were from Chicago, sharing stories and laughs throughout the evening. Corey never missed a beat, even with us seated in the back, making us feel like VIPs the entire time.

Now, let's talk about the food - absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was a delight, but the standout was the lamb chop Alfredo. It was a 10/10 masterpiece that left us all raving. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making it a dish to remember.

The ambiance of Eleven19 was cozy, urban, perfect for a celebratory evening. The combination of exceptional service and outstanding food made our visit unforgettable.
