Gennaro's Chicago Style Pizza — Restaurant in North Coventry Township

I was looking for pizza tonight, and I was tired of feeling taken advantage of by my local pizza place. So I searched, and I found on yelp Gennaro’s…. I had them in the past and thought they put out a great product. I saw that they had a Tuesday pick up deal of 10.99 for a cheese pizza, and their hoagie prices were great too. I order 2 special pizzas @ 10.99 then I order 4 cold hoagies for 7.99 and 8.99 (2 of each price point) so my math has me at 60 bucks. I walk up and on the door it states “prices subject to change”? I thought it was odd, so as I waited for my food to be done I checked the paper menu. I looked at the hoagie prices and they were still pretty good! 9.99 and 8.99 respectively. So I’m still feeling pretty good around my $60 mark. I got to pay…. 86$ and a tip line! I was floored, I don’t want to waste food and cause a scene, so I paid and left. But boy did it chap me. My coworkers and I ordered lunch from here. We all had different orders with different things omitted from them (i.e. no tomatoes). The owner took our order over the phone and read everything back, he also made, and delivered the food. Such a nice man! Our orders were all correct (we always have issues with other restaurants in Pottstown messing the orders up) and still hot when we received it. He was very friendly and even gave us a bag of chips for free. We all kept saying how much we loved our lunches (a panini, chicken wrap, pesto sandwich, and a grinder). We spontaneously stopped at Gennaro’s as we were traveling back home to NJ today. The pizza was AMAZING! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was so good that we ate, paid, and then ordered some more!

I didn’t realize until driving two hours home that I left my purse! The staff kept it safe and we all had a good laugh after an additional four hours of driving to pick it up. I ordered a sandwich and salad for the road. Honestly I’m not even mad we drove so much more today because it allowed us to eat here one more time.

My only disappointment is that we live too far to be regulars here! Otherwise Gennaro’s would absolutely be our...
