I'm not sure where the other reviewers were but it couldn't have been here. Had I not been talking about how strange the layout was, I mighty have noticed that the ceilings are falling down throughout. We ordered steamed shrimp and fried zucchini as appetizers. The shrimp was seasoned well. The cocktail sauce must have been old. Really old. It was clumpy and separated. The zucchini was cooked well. The marinara way runny and thin. Both sauces that came with the appetizers were served in disposable plastic containers and seemed to be old. 3 of us ordered seafood bisque. We watched the waitress heat it in a microwave. When it got to the table it was lukewarm at best. I truly thought the girl somehow brought us sausage gravy by accident. It was overly thick for gravy let alone for what was supposed to be soup. It has no seafood in it that I could find. My brother said he found some white fish in it. It didn't taste like anything other than an overly thick bechamel with pepper. One spoon was enough to let me know I didn't want more. My N.Y. strip and shrimp came, the steak wasn't seasoned, was cooked poorly, and was mostly gristle. The shrimp were an okay, prepacked, frozen product. The potatoe was supposed to come with butter... country crock. My brother's steak wasn't any better and his shrimp and scallops seemed to be broiled in margarine as well. I'll sum it up with this: my sister-in-law didn't even finish her chicken salad. Skip this place. Skip...
Read moreWent with a party of 6. Restaurant was quiet for a Saturday night, which surprised me retroactively, since it was a nice experience, perhaps we has missed the crowd. The walk in was a bit interesting, going down the stairs into the lower level where the restaurant was located. Apparently the "Inn" portion of the building was not in use and has that musty not in use smell. Once we were walked into the dining room proper, all that changed. The place was beautiful. The service was very good, and the food arrived together and hot, despite there only being one person in the "kitchen". (which was behind a bar in the dining room.) We had ribs, soup, and various sandwiches. Everything was quite tasty. I'd say the entrees and wings were priced a little high, but the sandwiches were reasonably priced. We'll...
Read moreWe were in town for the Iron Maiden concert and wanted to find a local place to eat vs a chain restaurant. When we arrived, we were slightly concerned because the lot was empty and even more unsure when we realized we were the only ones at the restaurant. But, out concern quickly evaporated when we were greeted with a friendly smile. The food, service and atmosphere were great. It felt like home. My only recommendation is to update the restrooms. They were clean, but definitely are past their time...
