China House — Restaurant in North Fayette Township

DO NOT EAT HERE, terrible rip off service, openly unsanitary. Two morons working there could care less about your food. I first walked in and they were not busy at all, had no pending orders, and they did not even great me or somesome ano lady that walked in after me. I payed for a simple order or shrimp and broccoli extra spicy. I went next door for 15 minutes and stopped at a store. I returned and they were standing around staring at the wall. I sat there waiting, they two guys just stared off into space for like 5 minutes as I stood there. I then noticed them to START the food I ordered. I also noticed they had very dirty hands with paint on them due to them repairing the wall, and without washing their hands. When I saw all that I was ready to say forget the order I'll go somewhere else (but I already payed) so I waited. I finally get the food, I politlely said "thank you have a good night"...the employee just handed me the food with a blank stare and did not say a word. I start eating the food once I get home. I ate half the meal and stopped because it was terrible and seemed under cooked. Later on I got major stomach ache, to the point I almost thought about going to hospital. Very bizarre experience, class A example of terrible careless obnoxious employees. Any good reviews you read on this place is definitely business insiders and fraudulent reviews. Save your time and money, will not be surprised if healthcare department shuts that...

Somethings were great, Id order again... a couple were not.

Vegetable egg roll was phenomenally better than expected, real, thick mushrooms, and ither veggies, not just all shredded cabbage w a bit of carrot.

The egg drop soup was too thick and not very warm. Heating would have thinned it some, but I think it needed more water/broth.

The Sweet/Sour chicken with white steamed rice is what I expect in America, which was exactly what I was hoping for.

The chicken fried rice was not good to me. Im not familiar with yellow rice and small strips of chicken with onion bits being called chicken fried rice, also, the rice was undercooked, at best I could say al dente, but truly, just undercooked and crunchy (no, not pan fried crunchy).

The lo mein was familiar to my American tastebuds, and also what I was hoping fir on this order.

So.... veg egg roll, S/S chicken, and lo mein, I would order again. Not the soup...

My intention on writing this review in the middle of our "dinner" is to help this local company do better in the future. We've been ordering from here for about 10 years and it's been good for the price. Today, we ordered wings, and sweet and sour chicken w white rice. We noticed how small, and overcooked the wings were and they definitely tasted off. We called to inform them, they were ok by saying bring them in we will replace which they did. These wings were freshly cooked, (Not recooked like the original ones received) but there's something wrong with the wings there selves. Just not good. The rice for the sweet and sour chicken smells so bad, we have to eat the chicken nuggets by there selves with just the sauce.
