Great Wall North Fort Myers — Restaurant in North Fort Myers

Review from February 2025: We were really loving this place until we made an order online for delivery and we received an entirely different thing, called to ask about it and they just kept telling me I didn’t know what I ordered and I didn’t know what I was talking about. One of the ladies who came to the phone was sort of laughing at me. However I order this noodle dish often so I know I received the wrong thing. It didn’t even have noodles in it. It was just chicken and onions, flavorless chicken and onions at that. I don’t think there was a pinch of seasoning on any of it and it was just swimming in grease. Luckily the delivery website gave me a refund but the customer service on the phone completely blew me away because I was extremely kind when I called. I actually did give them one more try after that and the food tasted very odd; the egg rolls were soggy and the noodles we ordered tasted like fish (when it was a beef noodle dish). We ended up not finishing and couldn’t get a refund because we had picked it up and I really wasn’t about to call and deal with that none sense again. I looked up the health score on this place and it’s really not good. Not surprised at all that our last meal from here tasted so odd. So unfortunately, we will be finding a new Chinese place to order from.

Review from July 2024: Very happy with our order tonight. This is the first time we’ve tried Great Wall and we were so happy! We ordered through Grubhub and it arrived very quickly. The egg rolls were so perfectly crispy, hot and delicious! We ordered the Mongolian beef with pork fried rice and general tsos with pork fried rice and they were both very very good. The beef was great, flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. The general tsos was also very flavorful, had a slight spice and slight sweetness too it and was cooked perfectly. The pork fried rice was also delicious, it has nice big chunks of pork in it and the rice was cooked nicely. Looking forward to ordering...

I thought i would surprise my wife and pick up dinner. Must be new owners or new chefs. The highlight of this takeout was the hot n' sour soup. The eggroll was fried way to long and seemed like it was put in the fryer a second time. It was hard as a rock and the color was way too dark. The fried dumpling were tastless. The General Tso's chicken went in the garbage! The chicken was like chewing leather. Need i say more!! We have ordered from Great Wall for quite some time and we're never disappointed like this before. Don't know why but has certainly gone down hill. Only giving this a one star because I can't review for less than that. Called in a order for work lunch break, went in to pick it up. I politely asked the female who rang me up, if they also had bottle soda, instead of a can. She started screaming at me, " I already told you all we have is cans." She never told me this, because I only asked this one time, ever. I have been ordering and going to this restaurant since they opened. I tossed the food out on the way to my car. I have never such unprofessional behavior here before. I will NEVER return. I don't pay money to be yelled at period, for anything. Worst...
