The Inside Scoop — Restaurant in North Kingstown

The Inside Scoop has been here for a long time. I believe it's always been under the same management but can't confirm for sure. However they are absolutely doing ice cream right! A small cute place with some outdoor seating. Parking is limited and half of the driveway is blocked right now. It makes getting in easy but out kind of difficult.

I'd like to believe all of their ice cream is made there as it is extremely good ice cream. Prices are fair for ice cream and they take cards. Which is always welcome because I feel like a lot of ice cream shops still are cash only.

I have limited experience with the staff. Besides taking your order and handing it off. You deal with them minimally. They're always friendly and happy to help. One of them was extremely accommodating with replacing my son's ice cream cone in a cup with a new one in just a cone because he hand a mini melt down (no pun intended) over it being in a cup.

I love love love Inside Scoop for some homemade ice cream!! I have not been to the one in Cranston, even though that one is closer to me. I have gone to this location a number of times!! You can smell the delicious homemade waffle cones as you enter! Those cones are definitely delicious!! I love their Peanut Butter Oreo Ice Cream (it's fabulous as long as you love those two things!) Also I love their blueberry pie - as I do love blueberry with that graham cracker crunch!! I also enjoyed the peanut butter cookie dough one! My mother in law loves the Peppermint Stick one! They also have special flavors during the summer time. I'm sure all of their flavors are delicious!! You can certainly sample any flavors before committing! I wish they were open year round!! Family owned ice cream shop just minutes from downtown Wickford Village. Ice cream is home-made and made on site. Great variety of flavors, all the classics and some interesting specialty ones too. Chocolate Coconut Almond, Rum Raisin, Sea Salt Caramel, Birthday Cake, Coffee, Peach, Purple Penguin. They offer soft serve chocolate and vanilla, and have yogurt also. They are all really good. They also offer gluten free and vegan options, too. They sell really good ice cream cakes, too! Also, local favorite Nitro coffee is available and excellent.
