Canary Inn Bar & Grill — Restaurant in North Muskegon

We go over to Canary when my sister comes into town because they love to play Keno and they don't have Keno in their state. Canary welcomes my sister and her wife by name and knows what they drink and they're from out of town. Now I call that Customer Service! Canary has always been a favorite of mine but I have recently moved back to Muskegon after growing up here. But my family and myself, always visited on holidays and my family are big on going out, having fun and celebrating, which includes drinking and playing Keno! Most of the family likes gambling in all forms, I'm just not one of them! Not even all that into Keno...might be because I don't usually win and the other family members are so darn lucky! Now about the food on that given day...usually I don't have any complaints, but the onion rings were way too deep fried and I wanted a very rare burger. I'm a 'purist', just a burger with a touch of salt and pepper with a bun, nothing else. And I want the meat very, very, very, very rare! Just lightly heated on both sides. I took my burger to go, otherwise I would have sent it back and that would have probably been the only second time, in my 66 years, I have ever sent food back! Not to Canary, to anywhere! But the meat was medium and I didn't want it, I don't eat by taste, I eat by the way it feels in my mouth so that's why I like a rare burger. A decent bar with consistent drinks and the prices are good in comparison to other bars in the area. Pitchers are definitely the way to go if you like mixed drinks, but there's a pretty good variety of seltzer. Unfortunately, the service is not consistent and there is a notable difference to how regulars are treated versus other patrons. All in all, it's a bar that's commenting located, but nothing extra special. Food was good, but the kitchen closed at all different times depending on how they feel just like closing hours.
