The Blue Turtle Tavern — Restaurant in North Olmsted

I would say it’s a dive, but dive bars usually have some character or a charm about them. This is just a place that serves food and beer with televisions. Nothing special about the food. It’s just OK.

The service is where this bar takes a bad turn. Connie was my server all 3 times I went here and every time, my beer would sit empty on the table for 10 minutes while she walks around chatting to other patrons. Never came to check on our food. I had to walk up to the bar to get my drink refilled or get more water. The first time I said it must be a fluke. We tip well regardless of service and we are polite since we’re both in the service industry, but the next 2 visits convinced me it’s not a fluke; thats just how they operate there. If you aren’t a regular they don’t want you around and it shows.

My wife and I live within walking distance of this bar and were so excited to have a place we could go for games or a quick bite to eat. Instead we avoid it. It’s a shame because I think having more attentive staff could make this...

I came in for lunch and sat at the bar. Heather was the bartender, and she was very attentive and friendly. The bar was probably close to a third full, and it seemed it was a very regular crowd. They all knew each other, and Heather seemed to know all their ma es and their spots.

I got an order of their Mozzarella Sticks and the Cajun Burger with onion rings. The Mozzarella sticks were very good. Had the cheese pull and all. My burger was cooked correctly, and you get a lot of onion rings. They're not super thick, but compared to most places, you get way more for your buck. The crowd was probably between early 60s to mid 70s, so I hopped on the TouchTunes and DJed for the time I was there. Played Bob Seger, Conway Twitty, Elvis, Genesis, Thin Lizzy, etc.

Why the low rating?.. please allow me to explain, my friends and I decided to go to a Local Bar, The Blue Turtle.. I gotta say when we first arrived There were Three barmaids behind the bar standing there watching us as walked in and sst down, Now we waited over 10 min till one decided to asked us for drinks, And realized there were only three other couples there, I would totally understand if the place was either short staffed. Or it was really busy , but that wasn't the case This type of service was going on through out the the whole night, watching us getting passed by by other customers, waiting for our next drinks, And by the looks of the other reviews Iit seems to me it the same w complaint. I would hope that management decided to make a change on these issues , this could really hurt thier...
