They have a chicken burrito on their menu that they only served to me one time. Two other visits the guy (same guy all 3 times I think) said he doesn't like to make it because it uses too many green peppers or something like that? The first time he said that I just figured he was low on green peppers - stuff happens I get it. Weeks later when he said it again, I realized he just doesn't want to make it for me, not sure why. The 1st time this happened I ordered an alternative that wasn't as good. The 2nd time I just said never mind. I like places that know they succeed when the customer is happy, and that's what they strive to achieve. This place could care less about that part. All 3 times I was there, I didn't feel welcome. The atmosphere on their BS little dine-in picnic tables would be fine IF they made me feel like I was not only welcome, but appreciated. Last night was the 3rd visit in which I left and went to San Diego Tacos near 26 and Glenview instead. They gave me exactly what I wanted and were cheerful and friendly, and the burrito was excellent. I won't be back to Los Juanitos, which is unfortunate because they get 2 stars instead of 1 for their potential that they are unwilling to achieve, but...
Read moreQuality has disappeared. It had diminished the last time I went six months ago and I thought I would give it one more chance. I ordered eight tacos, and they looked scrumptious, as the adage goes, looks can be deceiving. At first bite there was gristle. No matter, I thought it happens. Then every single bite, was gristle. Please, Los Juanito's, have better standards of quality. If it is not good throw it away and start again. Buy quality ingredients for your place of business. I am thrilled to support locally owned businesses. Restaurant chains often have frozen food that is just warmed up. I expected much more than what we got. We pay well therefore we expect good. Not eh, serve it anyway. You think we will not notice but we do. Then no one goes back and you are closed for business. Have the mindset of doing and giving the best. It is my hope this review helps to reconsider what quality is. Thank you and much success ahead as this may just be a couple of bumps...
Read moreI have been eating here for 6 years and recently in the last year I have experienced notable decline in service and quality. This place has been a west coast taste, fast Mexican food style. Fast is questionable, but there is only two people working there so you just have to expect a longer time to get your food. This was fine with me in the past, because I got what I ordered and it tasted good. Now, the last 6 times they have got my order wrong, and is been dry and not very good. I my opinion they put way to many potatoes in their breakfast burrito. I ask for half the potatoes and extra cheese today for my chorizo burrito and I happily pay extra for the cheese. What I got was no cheese and the chorizo dried out and salty. It seems that the food is of a lesser quality on the weekends. My family and I will no longer be...
