Kim's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in North Ridgeville

UPDATE December 2022: I had a small gathering, to join me for Brunch on 12/18/22. I will NEVER come back. The service started out well. Great server and busy atmosphere. When we ordered our food, it went south real fast. Our hash browns were under cooked, burnt, and served cold. We sent the food back. Which the server explained the person manning the grill picked through their tub of hash browns for warmer ones. They still weren't cooked. Then, my significant other, 10 years of cook line experience, was served sour dough toast with giant mold spots on it. He immediately complained and they offered him new toast. Nope. We're done. We, the group, stopped what they were eating and asked to be compensated. We were given only 5% off per bill. The meal should have been fully compensated. 3 young men no older than 22 we're in that kitchen. Based off the bread, the kitchen food is NOT being tossed when expired. I now question the quality in being served. I reached out and wanted to talk to a general manager on Monday. I left my name and number. I got no response. I emailed the online "contact," no response. it's now 12/22/22 and the damage is done. Watch your food, people! According to one of my party guest: new name. Same disgusting quality of service. The health department IS Being called due to lack of customer care. I doubt those young line cooks even have a good service license.

OLDER POST: October 2022: (5 star) stopped in. Same location, but under new owners. There's a name change... Pickett's Diner? Not sure. Had the Mediterranean eggs and it was to die for! Hash browns, bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato, olives, feta on top of egg of your choice. A great mom n pop diner with a restaurant quality of food, at an inexpensive price. I have been up to Ohio from Texas for 9 days over the last month and have stopped in for breakfast about 5 times during my visits. Most times I have come in, I have had a VERY kind and friendly young man named Austin waiting on me. He deserves a raise! He always asks if I need anything, brings me large to-go cups of coffee. (which is AMAZING by the way) He is always ready for a pleasant chat and seems to have a genuine love and passion for serving the customers. The food here is AMAZING. I have been to a lot of breakfast locations in Ohio AND Texas. Pickett’s place is by far the BEST breakfast establishment I have ever eaten at. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is PERFECT and it is brought out hot and DELICIOUS in a very short amount of time. It’s good ole down home, fresh cooking. Dont even want to give this 1 star. First time ever eating here and I will not be returning. Our server was slow and acting weird. Forgot her name but she carries a small fan in her hand to keep her cool. My husband asked for a refill on his drink. The server returns and says " I forgot to refill your drink, I forgot what a loser I am". Making certain remarks to my brother in law saying "I'll hit you in your lower area" meaning his private parts and other remarks. The biscuits and gravy were very dry and the gravy you can tell was sitting for awhile and microwaved. We ordered our food and it was literally out to our table in LESS than 10 minutes, it was clearly rushed and undercooked and they weren't even packed, maybe us and a couple more tables were seated.
