Delicious, first class all the way. Fine food done the way it's supposed to be done. It's Christmas time and we revisited Johnny Apples. We had great meal, place was decorated nicely, people were super friendly, drinks cold delicious. You should try this place for an enjoyable time. We had New England Clam Chowder, salad, Broiled Scallops, Asparagus and mashed potatoes, it was perfect. So Enjoy. This was a new place for us, having driven by many times, so it was time to try. Clean, friendly & helpful staff, mixture of new and stately decor. Good range of meal offerings, pretty much any beverage you might desire. They offer a wide variety of meal specials as well. We started with bacon wrapped scallops, mmmm. We had the Prime Rib, and Veal MichaelAngelo, with mashed potatoes, broccoli and a salad, finishing with a slice of Raspberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious and well prepared, they must have a chef. The prices and quantity of the food were reasonable. We are planning to go back there soon. If you're in the area you might want to try it out... Enjoy.

Johnny Apples is a bar/restaurant housed in a farmhouse style stone building with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, the food is consistently above average. The cheese steak spring rolls, although closer in size and crust thickness to an egg roll, were absolutely delicious! Whether one prefers a thicker or thinner shell is purely a matter of taste. The crab stuffed Orange Roughy was fabulous! The flavors perfectly complementing each other with the sum being greater than the parts. The vegetables and potatoes were unfortunately a bit bland and boring, subtracting from an otherwise amazing dish. Johnny's is definitely worth the try for someone seeking an above average restaurant that doesn't kill the wallet or a bar that offers more than bar food.

My husband and I celebrated a belated 21st anniversary dinner at Johnny Apples. We’ve never been here before, but have passed it a few times and always wanted to go. I’m so glad we did. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious which made it very hard to decide what to get. Their sangria was especially tasty. We started off with fried calamari. My husband got stuffed salmon and I got their hot roast beef. We will definitely make another date to go and try more of those delicious entrees on their menu.

I live literally right down the street and go occasionally for a beer and burger in the bar. Always felt good about my experiences. Last night we decided to go for dinner and frankly, I've had better ideas. The food was just like the day cold and dreary, with the server indifferent at best, cruising by only when there was something to deliver to the table. I had my 96 year old mother with us, so we went early 5 PM. it took about 20 minutes to get seated because the room wasn't yet set up. When the Crab Bisque arrived, it was room temperature with that film on top. You know, the film that occurs when when food sits in the kitchen waiting to be served for an inordinate amount of time. My son's Chicken Parm was piping hot, served on a bed of ice cold pasta. He ordered a side of sting beans which arrived when he was finishing up his meal. My steak was done medium well (ordered medium rare) and was cold. Not cool red center, the steak was cold and the glaze had that same telltale film on it. The Onion rings were soggy and the mashed potatoes colder than the steak. My wife's Salmon was hot and very good, but was also served with ice cold sides. On the bright side, my mother did get a very good and hot chicken pot pie. By the time somebody got around to asking how everything was, we had choked down most of the food. So what was there to say? You simply chalk it up to experience and move on. Eating out these days is an expensive proposition and there are just too many other very good options in the area. I won't...

Went to Jonny Apples first time in years. I was very disappointed. My husband and I sat at the bar. The bartender was unfamiliar with how to make a common drink. Which I thought was odd, but no big deal. I switched my drink. A waitress came and shared the specials with us. I went with the porterhouse steak with mushrooms. Which was one of the specials. No salad was offered. It came with your choice of potato and veggie. Although they only offered one choice of veggie. ( broccoli and cauliflower medley) Vegetable's were cold and did not taste fresh. Had the choice of au gratin potatoes or mashed. Decided on mashed and they were uneatable. The steak was cooked to my liking,, however the meat was grisly. My husband decided on the Salmon stuffed with crabmeat witch was mediocre. He also did not like the mashed potatoes We eat out often at fine dining establishments. This was far from that. What was most disappointing was the price. Giving the quality of food. Sixty six dollars for just the steak dinner was not acceptable. Had it been a better quality piece of meat, without all the grisel and had they had offered better options of potatoes and vegetables that were fresh, we would have had no issue with the bill. As far as the ambiance it was a large bar and a little loud. But is fine considering we chose to eat at the bar. Unfortunately it was not worth the money and we will not...

We have been here many times. Last night was absolutely awful. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Every aspect of our dining experience was terrible. To start it was so dark in the dining room we had to turn our flashlights on to read the menu as other patrons did as well. The waitress was far from attentive and forgot to ask us if we would like some garlic bread as she brought it to other tables, my wine was warm as well as my husband's beer. I asked her for ice 2 times before she brought it. She never brought our bread we needed to ask the bus boy. She got my husband's order wrong when he told he wanted linguine and she put in angel hair, his chicken parm was way over cooked and dry. My turkey was absolutely awful. It was so thinly sliced and extremely dry and there was so very little of it. 4 very thin slices I have had more turkey on half of a turkey sandwich. The food was less than subpar. The bar area was so loud especially with these 3 grown men acting obnoxious. Never being told to quiet down. This is not the norm from our previous experiences. If this is the way it has turned, than I advise people to find another restaurant to dine, the food and atmosphere here surely has...
