My husband and I came to the Holland Rita’s location at 8:30pm. When we arrived, all the windows were closed despite the open sign being lit up. An employee was mixing some water ice with AirPods in. She turned her head and made eye contact with me and did not seek to help us with our order. 3 minutes have gone by and she still has not walked up to the window and a line is beginning to build. Finally, after 5 minutes I knock on the window and she reluctantly turns around to help us. Another employee comes around the corner that was in the back. When she came to the window I asked for a sample of the cookies and cream water ice and she says they are out of that flavor - then why is it still on the very easy to update magnetic board? I then ordered a frozen coffee as I had a free offer for one on the Rita’s app. My husband ordered a water ice which was melted at the top. When she rang us up she scanned my app and said “your offer for the frozen coffee isn’t working.” I said “okay, try my husband’s app, he has the offer too.” She scans his app and that also doesn’t work and she just stares at us and tells me my total is $9. At this point I was done - how about offering a solution to the problem or calling someone else over? Then she says “this was happening last week too.” Okay - then either fix it or promo out my item since I clearly have an offer that you can see with your own eyes! Read moreI decided I wanted a treat on a rainy night so I drove on over to this location, knowing it’d have minimal to no line. I knew what I wanted for the most part immediately but had a very hard time finding the toppings menu. They used to be larger and listed on the menu overhead, but they’re now super small on the daily ice flavor sign on the ground now. It took me a good 5 mins while waiting to find it.
The worker was pretty attentive to the 2 orders ahead of mine and when it came my turn, I walked up to the window and patiently waited for them to get off their cell phone. I asked for 2 items. One of them being a a twist sundae with hot fudge and peanuts. I received the twist, fudge and peanuts, but no whipped cream or cherry. And then when I asked for a lid, the worker huffed at me and made a face as if I was inconveniencing them. I didn’t even complain about the no whip or cherry, knowing I needed a lid anyway. But if I’m paying for an item; it’d be nice to either get what I ask for as advertised, or at least not get resistance upon a small request at the the end of my purchase, for something as small as a lid.
