I have played many great courses in my life and had high expectations for this club. The history is great as I am a huge history buff but for the price, there were many things that were extremely dissatisfying. For starters, I was trying to find the pro shop with my fiancé and asked a server in the restaurant where it was. She told us through those doors never telling us it was the men’s locker room in which my fiancé and I walked into. There were men changing and my fiancé felt extremely uncomfortable as did I.
The course itself was in fairly good condition, fairways well groomed and greens could have used some work, but I understand it’s tough to keep them in excellent condition. The bathroom in the middle of the course was awful. There was no light, it was covered in spiders and the door did not close. The wind kept opening the door so I couldn’t even use it. You would think someone would try to fix it with the amount of money this place is bringing in.
My biggest complaint was with the service. The ranger never said anything to the group ahead of us when they were playing terribly slow, when brought to the attention of the staff, we were told we should have called the pro shop to call the ranger. In all my golf experience since I was 3 years old, I’ve never had to call a pro shop to get the ranger to do his job. They are usually on top of it. To add to my poor visit, the worker in the pro shop said, “we have many members here, you don’t have to play here again.”
For the price you pay, I expected a lot more in the service capacity. I was a member at Ballyowen which is now the #1 rated course in the state and now I know why. I would pull in with multiple people there to greet me, after my round they cleaned my clubs with a smile, and the rangers/ starters are much more pleasant and do their job. I received none of this during my visit to this club.
If I were thinking of joining Atlantic City Country Club, the thought is now gone. Very disappointing and I will not...
Read moreWe chose the Atlantic City Country Club for our wedding venue because my wife has ties to the area and the view of the Atlantic City skyline over the golf course is breathtaking. But after the pictures are taken, the real thing that matters is the people providing the services for your event. Angela, Chef Dom, Shoq, Amanda and the rest of the staff made our wedding an event people still talk about. To say they all went above and beyond would be an understatement. Chef Dom was ill the day of our tasting but made the time to meet with me personally 2 weeks later to answer all the questions I had about the menu. We talked for an hour about food, and it was obvious that making the menu for our wedding a hit was just as important to him as it was to us. Angela is the director of events with a ton of responsibility other than our wedding. That day, you wouldn’t have known it because she was laser focused on making our day go as planned and on schedule. The sense of calm she gave us during what is a happy but stressful time was truly appreciated. Shoc worked a double that day as the bridal suite attendant in the morning and a waiter that night. He was a rock star the entire day. And finally, but certainly not lastly, was Amanda. She worked our tasting, and we immediately knew we needed her to work our wedding. She was off that day but came in at our request. I cannot begin to tell you how tuned into us she was. In fact, I had asked her to pay special attention to my father-in-law because he doesn’t get around as well these days. She took the request to heart and my in-laws are still talking about her.

Read moreI cannot recommend Atlantic City Country Club enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely flawless. Their wedding packages are so comprehensive and cover so many details that it significantly reduced the number of vendors we needed to work with — which was such a huge stress reliever during planning. And for everything that’s included, the pricing is incredibly reasonable compared to other venues.
The food deserves its own five stars. There were so many delicious options to choose from, and our guests are still raving about how good everything was. One of the highlights for me was the incredible staff — every single person we encountered went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. A special shout-out to Kim, one of our servers, who actually saved an entire platter of hors d’oeuvres just for us and stood with us to make sure we ate and had enough food. That kind of thoughtfulness meant so much on a busy day.
From the moment I arrived at 6:30 a.m. until the time we left around 10 p.m., the staff checked in on us constantly and made sure everything ran seamlessly. Angela and the planning team leading up to the wedding were incredible — they didn’t miss a single detail and made the entire process feel effortless.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning — gorgeous grounds, perfectly maintained spaces, and a beautifully clean, welcoming atmosphere. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the setting was, and we couldn’t agree more.
