Bog Iron Brewing — Restaurant in Norton

I used to love this place! I live less than a mile away, it was great having a brewery so close to great beers. Sadly, I will never go back there ever again. I don't know if it was a manager or the owner, but whoever it was is a horrible and nasty rude person.

I went there on Mother's Day with myself, my boyfriend and my three children it's a great place for family and kids, my child, who is five years old, was one of seven kids running around. The manager or owner decided to sit down with a bunch of people and loudly speaks so poorly, negatively, and rudely about my five-year-old .To the point that my five year-old son started hysterically, crying, saying that a man was pointing at him and talking badly about him and that he never wants to come here again. This conversation that he had with this group of people went on for over 10 minutes. Not only was speaking so negatively about a child, but was pointing him out to a group of 5-7 adults. He should be absolutely ashamed of himself.

I threw away all my food, poured out our beers, and left. My son cried all the way home. And has brought it up several times already. Now I have to explain to my child why adults are so cruel and rude.

When i brought it up to his employees they didn't seem surprised. They apologized profusely and begged us to stay. Shame on you bog iron. I will NEVER go back, and I will let everyone I know never to go as well. ESPECIALLY if you have children...

Beer was okay - I would say there NEIPA are not true to the style which is the only type of beer I like so definitely a biased opinion. If you like lighter beers you might enjoy them better than I did. I do not recommend getting food here… stopped by on the way to RI as we were starving. We were the first people to order lunch for the day and it took around an hour to get two pizzas that were pretty mediocre. The worst part - after eating I went and threw away our crusts and the piece of paper the pizza was served on (it was a wooden board with the paper separating it from the pizza)……..There was a bug squished onto the pizza inside the grease outline from the pizza…..So yes we ate a pizza that was touching a bug (I guess at least there was some paper between it)…..makes you wonder if they even wash the boards!! I almost puked on site and have still yet to gain my appetite. They did refund me for 1 pizza which I guess is the bare minimum after eating...

We were in the area from Upstate NY for soccer. We found Bog Brewery with a quick Google Search. Two soccer moms enjoyed delicious beers and food, had great conversation with the staff and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Large beer selection and the most food choices of any brewery I’ve ever been to. You MUST get the Chicken Wing Dip. I was still thinking about it the next day and wishing I lived closer so that I could get more! Carne Asada Tacos - delish. Pub Pretzel was soft and warm, loved the mustard dipping sauce.
