I am not generally critical of food because it is a matter of taste and preference. I have given Peking House two tries in the past month. I will say that the food isn't up to my standards. I had Szechuan chicken and Kung Pao chicken in my two visits. The vegetables were overcooked to the point of having little or dull color. There were no hot peppers in these dishes which are generally present. The chicken seemed to be thigh meat rather than breast. This makes a substantial difference in my opinion. Additionally, the sauce is thick, more like chop suey - too starchy for these dishes. Again, these are preferences. If this is your thing, then you may like this establishment. As a humorous aside, I did laugh at this insulting fortune cookie message (see picture). I won't be going back.

Ordered wontons and they had no filling. I don't understand how anyone could not notice that. They did it on purpose and you can't convince me otherwise.

Takeout only, and the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. The egg rolls were amazing, and the other dishes we ordered were OK.

Absolutely disgusting. This is the first Chinese place I’ve ever been to that drenched the sweet and sour chicken in sauce without asking. It was soggy, slimy, and inedible. Then they had the audacity to put peas and carrots in the egg drop soup — which is supposed to be simple and comforting, not a sad veggie dump. And don’t even get me started on the rice… it was brown, rubbery, and looked like chunks of tofu. Completely unrecognizable. I called to ask what happened to my food, and instead of offering a refund or any sort of fix, I was told “next time, ask for the sauce on the side.” Excuse me? How about not ruining it in the first place? Thanks to their nasty food and zero accountability, I’m out money and I still don’t have dinner....

We ordered 4 meals which were all horrible. The Generals tsos chicken lacked flavor and the rice was dry and it also lacked flavor. We also ordered cashew chicken and wor shu gai chicken. The wor shu gai was just terrible, it was served on a bed of lettuce which just made it a watery sloppy mess. The chicken was dry and had no flavor even after 3 packs soy sauce on it. The sauce that was on it tasted like nothing except for pea pods and bamboo shoots. I spent over $30 and most of it went into the garbage. I will say though I did get a nice amount of food, and they messed up our order and had to wait for it even when no one was in...
