We were here yesterday and ordered the frozen custard vanilla and the Gelati mango vanilla. Both were very enjoyable! You could taste the freshness and quality of the mango and as a mango lover who only enjoys the real fruit and rarely enjoys dessert made from it, thier mango gelati was quite a revelation! It's made from real fruit and the addition of their thick creamy frozen custard to mango does offer an elevated experience of mango! I recommend this to all mango lovers!
As for their frozen custard, to be honest, I was a little stumped as I was expecting yellow egg yolky custard that's frozen. Which is apparently not what frozen custard means here or in many other places especially across LA. It's closer to french ice cream - a richer, creamier, denser cousin of ice cream. Not sure if it's got any egg yolks but still felt more filling and enjoyable than regular ice cream. I am excited to try their swirl next time! Also hoping to try their milkshakes - they had run out of milk yesterday.
The young girl at the drive through was very kind and pleasant! We are all living through stressful times and good customer service and pleasant interactions with other humans became even more valuable. Thank you for your smiling patience while we figured...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here not long after they opened and still come here occasionally. Have noticed the last few times I've gotten a Gelato, there's a hint of another flavor other than what I've asked for. It's almost like they are not cleaning whatever scooper they are using in between getting different flavors. The layering between ice and custard isn't as good as it used to be either. I still like coming here but would like to see them get back to the way they were when they first opened.;; I can appreciate the response and explanation. We've been coming here since you opened, but rushing isn't better service if customers are getting mixed in flavors other than what was ordered. If something is good, ppl will wait. It's also unfortunate that you took the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't understand why this place has five star ratings; it seems suspicious. This place is okay, but there are much better options for Italian ice if youāre willing to drive a little fartherāFrostbites, Joe's... I think it will be worth it. The Italian ice @ Wild Scoops is very sweet and tastes artificial. The custard resembled soft serve more than actual custard, lacking that rich egg flavor.
Parking is a nightmare due to the drive-thru setup. The layout is frustrating; once you park, you have no way to leave without relying on the car waiting in line for the drive-thru. Overall, I donāt plan to ever return. Not worth the...
