My girlfriend and I were looking for a unique restaurant to try while we were out in Monticello for Indiana Beach. This wasn’t too far from there. The signage stated it was a steak and seafood place, so I thought we were going to have a darker, relaxing vibe here. It was nowhere close to that. It doesn’t have a steakhouse vibe to it whatsoever. I’d say they’re way better off labeling it as just a Family Restaurant. The ambiance is just very low grade.

I ordered a Diet Pepsi and a Margarita On The Rocks with their House Tequila. Both of the drinks were great. The Diet Pepsi came with free refills, so that was a plus. The Margarita was super smooth and went down fast.

For an appetizer, we ordered the Flaming Cheese, which was basically Saganaki. It was really good and it came with pita-type bread pieces on a plate. I’d recommend this for sure if you’re a fan of Saganaki.

For our main dinners, we got the Ribeye Steak and chose Potato Soup for the included cup of soup. It came with one side and we got French Fries. For the othe other dinner, we ordered the Fettucine Ala Vodka W/ Shrimp and Potato Soup again for the cup of soup.

They gave us rolls with our dinners. They were surprisingly great! They even came with a little cup of butter that seemed to be made in-house. It had a nice texture to it. We got a complimentary refill on the rolls, so that was appreciated. The Potato Soup was served really hot. It had an enjoyable flavor to it and the potatoes came in big chunks.

As for the Ribeye, that’s where the disaster happened. It was served to me with about 6 oz. of fat, 2 oz. of edible steak, and the rest was uncooked. It was disgusting throughout and the fat got stuck in my teeth. This was a sour way to end my meal. To comment on the French Fries, those were mediocre at best. My meal was basically a total loss, so I ended up dipping into the Fettucine to give that a spin. It was okay at best. It tasted like it was heated artificially. The sauce barely had any flavor and the Shrimp was around the average line, so like I said, the sign shouldn’t bloat about steak or seafood.

Our server was a friendly female and served us efficiently and swiftly throughout our dining experience. She disappeared towards the end as we had to seek further help to get the uneaten steak off the bill. It was like pulling nails and definitely left my stomach even more unsettled. It’s unfortunate they couldn’t have been more apologetic for serving a customer uncooked meat. Instead I had to keep exposing the situation and in the end be charged for the Cup of Soup and French Fries. It was a petty battle for them to fight, but oh well.

Overall, if you’re looking for a steak, do yourself a favor and turn your car around. This isn’t the place for that. If you’re looking for an average family-type meal, then give them a try. I wouldn’t return here for the fact that I had to bicker about an uncooked steak and still wanting me to pay. I guess you can say they served me an argument...

We had a good experience at Angler’s Proper Pour. The place has a comfortable, welcoming feel to it, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit.

We started with the sliced pickled chips and homemade dipping sauce, which were really tasty—crispy, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal.

My wife had the chop steak with grilled mushrooms and onions, along with mashed potatoes, gravy and a side salad. She enjoyed it and said everything was cooked well and had good flavor.

I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was cooked nicely and had a good texture. The fries were hot and fresh, but could’ve used a little seasoning or something extra to make them stand out more.

Overall, it was a nice dinner. Good food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere. We’d definitely go back and try more...

Service was awful rude waitress who forgot to turn my food in and obviously thinks it's exceptable to treat patrons like trash because she is pregnant......wake up business owner that's the face of your restaurant.....knew this place when the father owned it and the attitude I got from my server must not have been tolerated then unfortunately now the son obviously doesn't care how his servers treat you....not do they think you should have refills glad I paid two bucks for a drink I couldn't get filled.....don't understand why the good servers seem to always leave and the horrible server stay.....I guess their standards have dropped tremendously. If you have all night to sit pay high dollar and like to be treated like dirt when spending hard earned money this is the...

We visited Anglers a few times in the last couple of years. They have a wonderful menu, a large selection of cold drinks, attentive staff, and probably one of the cleanest restaurants we have been to. Tonight was Surf & Turf for $28.00. It was beyond worth the money in today's inflated market, let me tell you. Delicious tender steak, prepared as requested. The only reason for not five stars on food was that the snow crab legs were overcooked. Not to the point they were bad, the overcooking makes them hard to shell out, and shrinks the meat. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and evening!

Food was hot fresh and had a nice distinctive flavor. We ate right at 4pm and were the only people there. We got fish, shrimp, buffalo wings, fries, slaw, rice, and hush puppies. Loved the hush puppies, and fish had a really good seasoning in the breading. It was a tad overcooked but tasted good. Price was a little more than what Google said to expect, and portions were average. It was just three of us. Staff were really nice and the waitress was fun and personal.
