Extremely disappointed as a local resident who recommended this course to visiting family
As a local resident, I’m embarrassed that I recommended Pine View Golf Course to my visiting family from Arizona. My son and nephews had a confirmed 9:30 AM tee time and were told over the phone that rental clubs would be available. After driving 25 minutes to the course, staff suddenly claimed only one rental set was available and refused to allow club sharing - despite the boys having their own set as well.
When my sister-in-law spoke to management, she was given a completely different explanation about age requirements and driver’s licenses - neither of which were mentioned during booking or to the boys upon arrival. Both 18-year-olds have valid licenses, yet staff never asked to see them. The inconsistent explanations make it clear this was age-based discrimination.
Management failed on multiple levels: Staff wasn’t properly trained on actual policies vs. arbitrary restrictions Booking procedures don’t screen for supposed “requirements” No clear communication or customer service protocols Potential age discrimination when policies aren’t consistently applied
My nephews both played varsity golf in high school and these are respectful young adults who understand course etiquette. The dismissive treatment they received was unprofessional and potentially illegal if based solely on their age.
We immediately went to Pond View Golf Course, where the staff was welcoming and professional - they allowed club sharing and the boys enjoyed their round. The contrast in customer service was stark.
Pine View’s management needs to address these serious training and policy issues. As a local family, we won’t be returning or recommending this course to...
Read moreMy two 18-year-old nephews (both experienced and well-mannered golfers) and their 13-year-old brother were treated with shockingly poor judgment at Pine View Golf Course upon arrival for their tee time. They had booked in advance and confirmed availability of rental clubs. However, when they arrived, staff suddenly claimed only one rental set remained—effectively preventing two of them from playing. Although the course was noticeably quiet, the staff gave rude and dismissive attitudes, and searched for arbitrary reasons to deny their entry. There was absolutely no legitimate or logistical excuse: they weren’t late, the course wasn’t busy, and they’d confirmed all arrangements ahead of time.
It became painfully obvious the issue wasn’t availability—it was their age. These were respectful, out-of-town juniors who clearly understood proper golf etiquette, yet were made to feel unwelcome and unworthy of playing. Golf, especially at the community level, should welcome the next generation—not shame them or push them away. Years from now, these young men won’t remember the shot they missed—they’ll remember the hostility and exclusion they felt here.
If you’re considering Pine View and your group includes young adults or teens, be aware this staff seems to harbor bias against younger players—a serious red flag in today’s inclusive and welcoming sporting...

I’m writing this as a local resident whose family was discriminated against at Pine View Golf Course. My son and nephews (visiting from Arizona) were turned away from their confirmed tee time despite having rental clubs confirmed in advance.
What made this situation inexcusable was the manager’s follow-up call to my sister. Instead of apologizing and making things right, the manager doubled down with additional fabricated excuses - all of which were easily proven false. When informed that both 18-year-olds have valid driver’s licenses and varsity golf experience, the manager still refused to acknowledge the mistake or offer any remedy.
A competent manager would have immediately apologized, offered to honor the original booking, or at minimum provided some gesture of goodwill. Instead, this manager chose to defend discriminatory treatment of respectful young adults.
When we went to Pond View Golf Course - professional staff who welcomed the boys and provided excellent service. That’s how a business should operate.
Pine View’s management clearly doesn’t prioritize customer service or understand how to handle complaints. As a local resident, I’m embarrassed by how they treated our visiting family and will be sharing this experience with others in...
