Smoked Lick BBQ — Restaurant in Norwich Township

Love it. They have limited seating but we were able to sit , eat and watch the games. The literally have three big screens in there. This is not like any other barbecue place. It’s very unique. I ordered the mac & cheese, of course and I topped it with a brisket. Most of the barbecue places the meat is really dry that they put on top of the mac & cheese, but this one just melted in your mouth. I also had to try their deviled eggs. I’m not a deviled egg person, but oh my God, I had to order another half dozen. The people are hilarious. The general manager Carol, Was Hilarious. She was lively and had great suggestions for us to order. The front counter servers were very nice as well. You could tell it was a little stressful because it was their first day opening. But you they never showed any anxiety and they were always smiling. I actually met the chef, he seemed very nice but a little shy. But you could tell he was in tune with the food. And was side by side with his sous chef. Gary was very nice and came out to make sure our food was OK. So now to the food. The mac & cheese was so good. And the ribs were probably the best ribs we’ve had anywhere. The baked beans were outstanding had brisket in them and they had a good kick.. I want a dessert, but their full menu does not come out until Tuesday. I think so. Been waiting for this place to finally open. Today was the day. I ordered a Brisket sandwich that came with fries. Also ordered the Baked Beans, Potato Salad, Coleslaw and a Deviled Egg. The Deviled Egg had a nice smooth filling with a very little mustard taste to it. Perfect for me. The Baked Beans were delicious, they had some peppers, pork and super smooth tasting sauce in them. Yum!!! The Brisket sandwich had a good amount of meat on it. The texture and flavor was phenomenal. They're also using a quality and tasty bun that held up to the meat and coleslaw on it. The coleslaw on top of it was just okay, I'm not sure that it really added anything for me. I would let the meat speak for itself and maybe use his sauce as I know it was really good. The Potato Salad was made with a nice creamy dressing and veggies but the potatoes were way too big for the dish in my opinion. Best BBQ I've had in the Hilliard area. I purchased on site, only had to wait 5min for them to prep the order. I would have purchased online for pickup, but all the items were strangly much more expensive online... hopefully, they can make the prices consistent.

Brisket retained its moister and had good smoke flavor. Chicken was great, I've never come close to smoking my chicken that good. All the sides we got were very good. Mac n cheese was creamy. Beans had a ton of flavor and a spicey zip. Potatoes salad was phenomenal (my wife was in love with it). Coleslaw was great. We got a few deviled eggs, which were good, but the price was a bit steep at $2.50 each. Overall, we were very happy with the experience, and the food was delicious. Hopefully, they will make their website's online order prices the same as in store to make the order process more convenient for us with young kids forced to eat from home!
