Staff was super friendly. Had an at home feel. I did the drive through. Their speaker is struggling and very fuzzy sounding. It was hard to understand the person speaking. My bagel was decent but not one of the better blueberry bagels I’ve had. Just decent. It wasn’t enough blueberry flavor for me. They also don’t put the cream cheese on. They include a plastic knife and two Philadelphia cream cheese pre packed cups. It was frustrating putting the cream cheese on it in my car and I almost dropped the bagel into my floorboard. So, decent bagel, not good if you go through drive through short on time. Their chocolate donut holes are some of the best I’ve ever had. Their scones were perfect. However my blueberry one was a triangle while the chocolate was a circle. Which is totally fine but the chocolate one seemed a lot smaller. I was even considering the shape like maybe that’s it, but no, they were definitely different sizes and I wonder if whoever is baking them, is actually taking the time to weigh out the dough. So, super yum, but inconsistent. The buckeye latte I got was decently good. Not one of the best latte’s I’ve had, but it was good. I was confused because I didn’t taste any peanut butter. But when I got to the last 1/3 of my drink it was just clumps and clumps of peanut butter. I’m guessing it wasn’t mixed into the drink well enough. The coffee was smooth though. Overall, this is a decent spot. I’d stop in again just to support local. It’s not incredible but it’s good. The highlights for me was the scones and...
Read moreI’ve gone to New Grounds 4 times to get some work done on my laptop in the last month but turned around and had to leave 2 of those times simply because there are really only two spots that have outlet access inside. It is a cute little spot and I like their hours and the fact that there’s a drive thru, but there just aren’t enough spots to sit and work in there. If there are two other people already working in there and need an outlet, you’re out of luck. It seems like a silly gripe to some, but a good chunk of people out there who work from home who like going to coffee shops to get out of the house. New Grounds is more of a sit and lounge and talk to a friend over coffee spot than a work spot. Also, their coffee drinks are very sweet and overly milky, their specialty seems to be very desert-y drinks. I normally just get a regular latte, and here they seem to barely add enough espresso to change the color of the milk. Not a bad place, good service and friendly employees, it’s clean inside, but there are more work-friendly coffee shops close by. I’ve seen a few other reviews with similar comments so I hope they consider changing the layout inside, they have a lot of potential in such...
Read moreExcellent coffee. Ordered an Americano and my wife ordered a lavender vanilla latte, both hot. We both thought our drinks were done well. I have a bias towards dark & medium roasts so if you like lighter roasts you may disagree with my review. I did not catch where their beans are sourced. They weighed the beans before grinding & brewing. The food I've had is okay I've only tried their bagels, which are Sammy's bagels (a.k.a. the best!), and breakfast sandwiches. It tastes like both their bagels and sandwiches are pre-made, frozen, and reheated to order, which impacts the flavor & texture. There were also donuts and other baked goods which all looked good. The seating area (some outdoor seating, mostly indoor seating) seemed okay, I prefer places where I can sit and study/work for a few hours. This space is not really conducive for that. Great space if you want to relax and catch up with family/friends as there a few tables and comfy chairs and couch. Everything is clean and taken care. There is also a drive thru if you don't want to leave your car. Recommend checking...
