1A Pizza — Restaurant in Norwood

For a local pizza joint, it is exactly what you would expect for it to be. Whether you’re in a rush and need to take out, wanna stay at home and get delivery, or even want to eat in with a few friends/family, this pizza joint sets a stellar standard. The atmosphere is inviting, the employees are kind and courteous, and if you even become a semi local, they’ll not only remember you, but be more than happy to see you again. They have the practice down to a T. Almost what you would call a streamlined standard for how to make each pizza, calzone, or anything that you could make. It is impressive to see them work, to get the job done quickly, yet have such a quality product. As for the food itself, because, of course you’re here for the food; the standard of every pizza, no matter what anyone says, is the sauce. The pizza sauce that they use is by far my favorite. The absolute perfect taste for a sauce that complements their cheese magnificently. If you’re not looking to try their pizzas though, they have plenty of other delicious choices; (note: get chicken fingers or fries with the honey mustard. The Honey Mustard is to Die for.) Of course, every single restaurant that you go to will eventually mess one or two things up. But for people to leave a bad review because of that, it’s laughable. And the number of times that I, as well as those around me have not only gotten their orders right, but Perfectly, as well as the kindness of All of their staff, all the way from owners, to the kitchen workers, to the delivery drivers, as Well as their willingness to make it right every single time, has made 1A pizza, without a doubt, my favorite...

Recently moved a few blocks away and had heard good things about A1 pizza. Our normal go-to (which isnt really great) had closed at 8pm so we went for A1. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! Greek style but not with a super bulky crust, slight sweetness to the sauce and plenty of cheese. It was really, really good!! On top of the really good pizza, the owner was so lovely. You can tell that he, and his entire staff, work very hard and take great pride in putting out good food!! We will be back soon and can’t wait to try a steak and cheese - which I’ve heard melts...

I come to 1A weekly for lunch (sometimes more when my coworkers send me too!) and am NEVER disappointed! Their food always hits the spot and their staff is hands down the BEST! They are friendly, upbeat and detail oriented for sure. Today I ordered a small pizza and fries and was surprised to be handed 2 pizzas when I got there because one, "was a little overcooked" (which was also delicious per a coworker 😂).
