Kaya's is not much as far as store front but a great value with great food. Tucked in the back corner of a market along the Kamehameha Hwy on the left if going towards Laie, Kaya's offers a small menu with a big punch. This was one of those finds that resulted from a search and the reviews were spot on.
We ordered a Loco Moco, Hamburger steak and a couple of Butter Mochi and Musubi...for three of us. Anyone that knows Hawaiian food knows this is probably enough to feed six. The food came out quickly and was awesome. We ate and ate and ate off of those plates to where we could hardly walk afterwards. The seating area is outside under a shelter and makes for a nice area to sit and eat.

[My father] used to carve meat,” Hashimoto said about a small corner of the shop that is now a kitchen that serves...
Read moreWe have heard about Kaya's Kitchen and have driven by it many times. This time, we stopped in, and we were pleased. All the items on the menu looked delicious, and it was hard to make a decision, but we decided on the 'porco moco' special. Like a loco moco but with the addition of pork. It was very ono and well worth trying. I would suggest stopping by Kaya's Kitchen if you're in the area, and if you're not, take a drive over to the windward side and get some of Kaya's food. You will not be dissapointed. We will be back to try the rest...
