I am a frequent patron of Smoothie King, usually the Edwardsville location. Unfortunately, the O'Fallon location, where I live, is hit and miss. Yesterday was the worst. I ordered a simple smoothie in the drive thru. The worker was unable to scan my phone so I could get my points. No problem, I can enter the numbers from the receipt. I even said this to her. Does she give me a receipt? No. I then ask for one, again. She cannot seem to reproduce it. Finally, she hands me a receipt, it shows the price of the smoothie but it was then returned on the receipt as if I'd gotten a refund. I pull up to go inside so I am no longer holding up the line. Before I do, I check my credit card app, yes I have been charged. I go inside, I am told that she couldn't figure out how to reproduce my receipt so she rang up a smoothie and then returned it to give me one. How does this help me in any way? It does not. I walk her through the conversation again, because I realize she is young and is obviously unable to figure out how to handle this. She calls a manager because there isn't one in the store, and tells me I will receive a call back. I did not. Like how do you justify charging my card, not giving me a receipt like I asked, not honoring your own point system which also had a bonus for eating there this weekend, then not fixing the problem, not having a manager on duty, and not rectifying the situation. What is this?? Also, I'm thinking it's an FTC violation to charge my card then give me a receipt that shows I got a refund. I guess we will have...
Read moreSo this for sure isn’t a first time this has occurred. But Mary is terrific and is the only one that ran allll over the place today making orders. I bet she made 20 orders in about 25 min. The other girl ( long dishwater blondish hair) with her stood back and watched and didn’t help Mary out at all. Infact the other girl was acting like she was outta breath just standing there doing nothing and was wearing a mask and had glasses. If I were this girls manager I woulda fired her on the spot. She was just in the way and Mary was running all over running the front counter and call in orders and the drive through window. To me that is completely uncalled for. It took every bit of 25 minutes from the time I ordered to get my smoothie and that never happens when they have two people both being productive in there. Plus the other girls face kept getting so red and she was outta breath just standing there leaning up against the wall the whole time. It was completely uncalled for that she didn’t even help Mary in washing off the dishes barely or anything. Read moreBusy Friday UPSIZE day. Assistant Mgr. took over my order because first employee said I had an attitude. When I was acknowledged on the order I started off by saying "I would like to upsize a ......." she cut off the headset. Like she had no time for me. I got frustrated and waited then the assistant manager came on and asked for my order. When I repeated it he didn't respond then asked for the order again. When I repeated it a third time he said, " that's the way to place an order". When I got to the window I asked him if he was the one who chastised me and he said yes. Said I was rude to his employee and he would 'call out rudeness every time'. He didn't like my tone so I guess I had to repeat my order til I was OK with him. He would not accept that his snowflake employee hung up on me which started this whole thing. They were busy, although no one in the shop. No one in line behind me at drive up.
