Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Shiloh

Went here to get my daughter some clothes for school. The selection was on par for Ross. But this review isn't about the selection. I have never seen a more poorly run retail store. There were at least 7 employees in the store 1 was clearly doing everything in their power to not do their job. 4 were stocking shelves, 1 poor lady was checking out a line of customers that wrapped all the was around the registers and back into the men's clothing. And one slovenly sloppy dressed woman came from all the way in the back looked at the line and the cashier and went straight back to the back. Her posture and attitude said manager but I didn't ask. I understand there is more to a store than the checkout. But in times of high traffic a standard procedure should be of prioritizing work tasks based on needs of the store. I.e. the stocking can wait till the line has gone down and someone can help checkout then return to stocking duties. I truly hope that Mr. Pike reads this and makes a change or 2. Horrible attitude workers that profile people. I come to the store to get a clothing tag that they forgot to remove thinking this would be a simple process as it would be at any other store when they make a mistake.. No.. I walk in and go straight to the counter (entrance right next to checkout) and let them know the situation. The first thing this lady says to me is “I don’t know you came in here with that people have been stealing”…. I’m dumbfounded at this point at the immediate energy and accusation. I say “mam… the door is right next to this counter, you saw me walk in with this item. Why even insinuate that? And if it’s that serious you have cameras you could check”. Then it changed to “I don’t remember checking you out”.. when you wouldn’t remember every customer you’ve ever checked out. They didn’t take the tag off and the Most ridiculous part of it all is they let me leave with the item after all the insinuations… all caused by them not doing their job initially and removing the tag when I purchased. Instead of taking ownership...

Will be filing a complaint with this company. Barely anything stocked in the store yet was followed around by a creepy middle aged man the entire time. He stood behind us in line with no product in his hands. This is the second time I have been here and it's happened both times. I told the cashier and she says "oh we don't have asset protection" funny... Because your website shows careers in loss prevention at Ross. Yet she even said it must have just been a "creepy" man but won't call the cops on him? About to take everything I just purchased back. Won't be getting a dime from me again and I'll make sure to warn my friends and family not...
